Just wondering, my gf and I are starting to have anal sex and initially it was difficult to the point where putting a finger in was impossible. I think we have done it 3 times now over 2 weeks. My wife and i have regular anal sex ( well she takes and i give) and the greatest " bummer" is stress.
most likely during regular sex she is relaxed and also are here muscules. So she is more "open" .
maybe you could try to agitate her by stimulating her with your thoung (ok,this is wrongly written) before entering?

I've found that taking a few calming breaths before my boyfriend is 'back there' I can calm down faster and relax. That's the key, she needs to be relaxed so that she can relax the muscles so that you can enter her. Also, give her time to get acquainted with your size before fully entering her.

My boyfriend will put the head of his penis in, then give me a minute to get acquainted to his size. He doesn't move until I tell him I'm okay and I'll push against him and control the pace until I'm stretched enough that I can give him control and he'll set the tempo.

Remember, the anus is very small and it doesn't automatically stretch to the size of what's in it. It's a muscle and it takes time. So go slow at first until she says you can speed up.

The only way she can "practice" is with her stimulating herself or inserting something herself, since you are asking about it, you are obviously not doing it. I think she was more "accepting of it" because she was stimulated, riled up, and wanting of sexual advances. But still, if you're going to do anal sex, lube, her being calm, and you abiding by her tempo is most needed.
