Help...why do I not enjoy sex with my husband

    Hi all,

I am 26 and been married to my husband for 2 years. He is amazing and we have a very happy relationship....until we get to the bedroom.

My husband has a very normal sexual appetite and so did I until I first has sex with him. I have always enjoyed sex in the past and was not shy about trying new things.

Since we started having sex, I found myself not enjoying it, and now I dread when a couple of days have gone by as he is due another session....and I like to keep him happy.

Now don't get me wrong, we have talked about our sex life and what we like and dislike and he is a keen learner, but we just don't seem to be in sync sexually....and it's not that he is bad in bed!

Could it just be that we r sexually incompatible?.

Perhaps you can try suggesting you two do things that sound alluring to you? Guide his hands and mouth on what to do that you enjoy. If he loves you, then he'll want to please you. I'm sure that if he knew things aren't "working for you", he'd want to know what he can do to make you happy.

Have you enjoyed sex with other men in the past? If so, can you think of anything that was different?

What does your husband do for foreplay. If you two are going into intercourse too quickly, your body may not be ready for sex and it may not be pleasurable like it should be.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Have you experienced enjoying other sex in the past? may be then that was the reason why you are expecting to much from your husband.

Hi, this might sound a bit strange, but did you have sex with him before you were married? Do you love him and find him attractive, do you want him? I mean like really want him.
When you do have sex, does he want you?
Could you imagine he's not your husband, and role play a bit. Could you be thinking about it as husband sex rather than just something you want and to enjoy?
What is it specifically you don't enjoy, do enjoy the foreplay, sex is boring, or if it is like a chore to eyou, then I'm not surprised you're not enjoying it.
If you want him, and want to be with him that way, maybe get yourself worked up, sounds like he is the one instigating the act, and you're not into it, making it seem like another chore, like washing up, hovering, sex with husband, do the ironing. It shouldn't be a chore, and you should enjoy it.
Maybe try to work out what it is you don't like about it, or something he is doing, if it is routine, then that won't help, it needs to be exciting and special, maybe say no once in a while, and go get some toys, please your self, and maybe let him watch or join in.
Never judge on face value, never assume someone is ok, because to you they look it. Enjoy life and what you have, don't take it for granted, not everyone is as lucky as you.

We are very expressive and open and I dont hesitate to ask for what I want, but it seems that even when I feel aroused and he does something, it does not have the same wow effect that it should...

Yes we did have sex before marriage and while we were always very excited and I had a normal to high sexual appetite, I did not enjoy it much. I fancy the pants off my husband and love him and in every other was we have a perfect relationship and are happy.

I suffer from depression and thought that it could be the medication I am on affecting the way I feel...

It's not that I don't get horny and want to have sex, but I just don't have the intense feels I used to during foreplay and intercourse. I just can't understand it

Google led me here, and after reading your post I can say that I truly believe it's the medication you are taking. The same happened to me. My sex drive was borderline high and as soon as I started taking medication for my depression it is non existent. It's really affected my marriage in a pretty negative way. The times sex is great is when I haven't taken my medication for a day or so. It's unbelievable how it's affect me! Trip to the doctor would be a good idea for you/anyone else experiencing the same thing.

Indian Angel i am a little confused what is it that you don't like having sex with your husband is it something he does in bed you disapproved of. After two years in to marriage you dread already not liking sex with husband wow that's a blow to the ego. What is it you looking for different sex position maybe using sex toys are you wanting a extra partner to join you in bed or what. Some times or most of the time before you get married you pretty much sexually attractive to each other. Most of the time after 15 to 20 or 25 years some couples will lose some spark in the bedroom but not giving everyone the whole story there's not much anyone can do to help you. Only thing to do is tell your husband things need to change in the bedroom because it's not working for you.Be honest with him don't beat around the brush get to the point and explain what you are looking for from husband.
When out driving always turn left. Then, should you become lost, you can find your way home by reversing the procedure and always turning right.
