Growing up, I thought that was one thing I'd never do! But now I have, and I do. It doesn't seem to bother me at all. Feels extra good (due to lack of lubrication in my vagina because of the tampon). I know that sounds weird, but it's like I can feel every inch. It's never been too messy either.

Who else does this? Does it bother you? Any other opinions?

There have been lots of posts on period sex. I'm like you, my monthly doesn't interupt my sex life at all. We usually do it in the shower as it can get quite messy for me. My husband loves it. He says I feel tighter than during other times.

Before being on the pill I wouldn't have had period sex, but the pill makes them light enough that it isn't a big deal. And my boyfriend too enjoys the tighter feel. But unlike AshB I'm more lubricated (because of the blood I guess), which we both love. He just doesn't like to see his penis afterwards.

I used to be able to but my cramps have gotten so bad all I can think about is ice cream and Ibuprofen. So, for me, it's not so much the messiness, it's the fact that I don't feel good :-/

Yup. The reason for this is endorphins, a neurotransmitter in the brain. When you have an orgasm a huge rush of this stuff is flowing in the brain and it acts as an analgesic or in other words a pain killer. It is your body's form of morphine.

Hahaha me and my bf just had period sex yesterday. I think it feels really good. We came to the conclusion that since theres alot of blood down there, it should make the vagina more sensitive. I wonder if that would be true? it definately makes me more sensitive, like i could feel everything. Its very lubricated too. So, I actually love period sex. o.o despite the fact that we look like we just been into a warzone. LOL
