Not only can he physically live that long without sex, but he should be able to do it without much in the way of physical or mental discomfort ... unless his drive is particularly high. I don't think you should feel bad that he has to satisfy himself - after all, you can't control needing to be away from him for a month. Some married couples are away from each other for months or even years without incidence of infidelity on either side, so don't be worried.
As far as men easily losing control, I don't believe that for a moment. That's a myth.
