I missed the previous post. No, I've never taken advantage of a drunken woman. If a woman doesn't want me when she is sober, how could I possible fell OK with her only wanting me because she was too drunk to know better.

I've never woken up next to someone and regretted it.

Moving back towards the original topic: I think its pretty clear a woman can rape a man, but it seems to be rare. Why might that be?

      Mismatch in physical strength?
      Different pattern of sexual attraction?
      Less tendency to violence?
      It's common but under-reported?

It's not considered rape by societies around the world?

          Male Rapper Raped?

I don't want to come off as obsessed with rape (which I probably am a little) or that I'm trying to be Jesus (whom I admire greatly), but I am about to resurrect this thread.

Yesterday there was a discussion on "Tell Me More" about societal views of male sexuality and vulnerability. It centered on an incident reported by a rapper named Kitty Pryde who blogged about what she described as a rape and sexual assault of her best friend and mentor -a rapper named Danny Brown. According to her, a fan pulled his pants down and stuck his penis in her mouth. He briefly continued rapping and then jumped away and pulled his pants back up.

There are some videos floating around. I'm not encouraging anyone to look at them, but I did. The video, a picture of him with his hand on her head, some tweets after the incident, and his music make this all murky. I never heard of these people before yesterday and don't know or care to know his work, but apparently it's very sexually explicit. While she's performing oral sex, he never stops rapping. In an twitter exchange with another rapper he brags that he didn't miss a bar (a musical one, that is). The tweets were deleted.

Some people are saying that Kitty Pryde is jealous, that she's sl_t-shaming, that he wanted it, that his music is responsible, that he's a misogynist, and that it obviously is not rape. She's saying that he and his entourage are calling the incident "the thing," that he won't allow anyone to discuss it, and that the fun environment surrounding their tour has become quiet and somber. She saying that the fan didn't have his consent and that makes it sexual assault/rape. She's saying that her pants were pulled down during a show and everyone was angry, but when it happens to him it's a high-five type of situation. He's been quiet on the incident and probably will continue to be.

While I was looking at some videos of him in interviews, I found an older one that was very telling. He was relating about how he had received a handjob onstage. Apparently a fan was rubbing his leg while he was performing and he was enjoying it. She stopped and he grabbed her hand and put it back. She took this as the signal to go further and proceeded to reach into his pants. In this video he's talking about how good it felt and how he wishes it could happen every show. Just when I was thinking that his protégé's claim was ridiculous, in a moment of prescience he says, "As long as she didn't whip [his penis] out."

I thought about this thread and figured I'd share.

Regardless of gender, I would consider it assault if someone initiate intimate contact of any sort without some sort of permission. If the victim decides that the contact was OK, then I don't think there is any need to press charges. Its somewhat murky, but while I do not believe that being passive indicates giving permission for the contact, actively physically showing acceptance of the contact might reasonably be interpreted as consent in the absence of any contravening indications.

I seriously doubt that any charges will be pressed in this case. If they were, no jury would convict. I do think that this man was vulnerable and that this was probably taken further than what he would have liked.

Here in my city, a 19 year old boy got forced into a car with 4 women who proceeded to sexually assault him. They were pretty heavy, I believe the article said around 200lbs, and the guy was skinny.

Even I don't think I could fend off 4 women, at least not without causing some serious harm to them.

So yes, it's possible for women to rape a man.
