I want to kiss a girl but not have sex... wtf?
I'm in my late 20s and have been with my bf for most of my adult life, and I've always considered myself straight and never thought of being with a girl. But the other night I was sitting with a female friend of mine (who happens to be gay) who I hadn't seen in a while, and I found myself really wanting to kiss her. Nothing happened, but since then I've been thinking about kissing her, but I can't fathom having sex with a girl. How can I want to make out with a girl but not like the idea of doing anything more physical with her? -
Because attraction is not all about sex. You can be attracted to somebody but not like certain types of sex. You may like the idea of being with her, you may be curious, you may just feel such a strong connection, but at the same time not have any sexual tension with her. I always say, why strain yourself with labels. Within any long term relationship, there will be other attractions that come and go. In my 12 year relationship with my hubby, there was a time I was really turned on by Johny Depp. I've also had a co-worker that I have a crush on. As long as those crushes don't interfer with your current relationship, its not something you need to worry about.Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose - Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster (sung by Janis Joplin) -
It is not that uncommon. You obviously feel comfortable with your friend. She is gay and you are wondering what it would be like to kiss another woman. It could be nothing more than curiosity. Avoid labeling yourself. Many woman have a similar fantasy that may or may not invole sex with another woman.
There have been several times when I am talking to a female friend at a party and had the urge to kiss her. That doesn't mean I am unfaithful to my wife simply because I had a sudden urge. I certainly didn't go to the party with such intentions nor did I act upon the urges. I was merely feeling uninhibited by the "rules of modern society" and nature took over. A few drinks and fun could also contribute as well.Comment

Alot of "people" have charisma, be it male or female and that is what "people" are attracted to.
I'm straight, yet I've been persued in my 20's a few times and I kissed a girl and I liked it
But, like you, I couldn't go further and I'm not gay..
I think we put to much emphasis of what "people" perceive to be boundries.
It is a matter of what "you" perceive to be "your" boundry....PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment
