    Too wet for sex!

Hi all, looking for a little help if possible. In short, I get too wet! I know it sounds ridiculous but it's really starting to depress me an awful lot. I get self conscious about it to the point that it affects my enjoyment of sex and while my current boyfriend is very good about it, I know he'd prefer it if I wasn't quite so slippery all the time. My ex once admitted that he found it less enjoyable and sometimes couldn't feel too much as a result and I can't shake that thought at all. Unfortunately he was also a fair bit bigger than my current partner so chances have to be that my boyf feels even less than he did.

I'm 32 years old and this only started happening around 18 months/2 years ago, I wasn't always like this. I thought it might have been side effect of changing pill (I changed to low dose oestrogen) but after changing back again to medium dose I haven't noticed any change at all.

It literally takes nothing to get me really wet, even just the idea of sex sets me off and I'm even at the point where I try not to allow my boyf to do much foreplay so that I don't end up so wet. I've tried taking antihistamines before sex (I've been reading up on this where I can!) but while they do make a slight difference it's not very noticeable. Plus I'm fed up having to plan out sex all the time and try to take the pills just an hour or two before, I want spontaneous enjoyable sex again!

I have heard of drying powders but determined not to go down this route, it doesn't sound healthy at all, but I'm getting desperate. It's honestly driving me crazy. I know most think you should consider yourself lucky because it's better than dryness but I'm not so sure about that. It's quite crippling and I think about it all the time. I don't want to keep taking antihistamines needlessly every day for the rest of my life either.

Oh, and I'm generally wetter than I used to be - even when not aroused I've noticed that I'm producing more 'moisture'.

Any advice or ideas would be so welcome. Please help if you can, I'm at my wits end.

Have you asked your current boyfriend if he's bothered by it?

For me, I can't fathom a woman being too wet.

Sex is supposed to be wet, messy, dirty, and FUN!

Even if my partner had some condition where she was gushing, it would still be an ego boost to me. In my own little world, I'm the one that got you that excited.

As for being too slippery (again, I can't fathom a woman being too slippery)- have you tried other positions or tried doing kegels while he is inside?

If you get excited so fast, use that to your advantage. Get quickies going left and right. What a bonus for him (oh yeah and you too)!

Years ago, I dated a young woman who was in your position. She was extremely self conscious about it as well. She needed someone who didn't care (me). I was fine. I suggested that she grab a toss away towel if she was uncomfortable to dry off. Once she understood that I didn't care, and that I pretty much liked the fact that she was so wet, she stopped being self conscious about it.

Talk to your BF. Find out what he thinks before assuming he doesn't like it.

The same thing happened to me in a previous relationship i got "too" wet and he couldn't feel it as much.. A simple thing you could do is just stop in the position your in, (I know it sounds weird but it worked for me) wipe your vagina with your hand to wipe away some of the wetness and change into a different sex position. I know what its like too, I've been complained to about being too wet, so crazy right? Goodluck

The lubricating oil and fluid you are producing seems to be a very normal and desirable part of arousal, and your body's way of preparing to receive a lover's touch and penetration. I know that you don't like the amount, but your description is part of normal variation. Dryness is muh more of a problem than wetness. I know that's no comfort to you, but try to look at it that way.

One thing you may try is asking your partner to surprise you and initiate sex very quickly without foreplay, when you aren't expecting it and so you can feel each other, even briefly, before you get wet. I have a small penis, and my wife likes the feeling of it squeezing in with sensation much better than slipping in after she's aroused. The isn't anything I can do about my size, but We have an understanding that if I strip her quickly without warrning or make a sudden move to sex in bed, I can penetrate her before she gets wet and give her much more vaginal stimulation, even if she then gets wet quickly. It works for us.
