    Did I have an orgasm?

I posted on this forum a couple weeks back about my inability to have an orgasm. Despite being sexually active for about 2 years, I hadn't had one. After a lot of trying, I finally had what I think was an orgasm on my own, but I'm not sure! I have heard that there are many varieties of the female orgasm, and some orgasms may be stronger than others. But I'm not sure if I actually had one or if I was on the brink of one.
I was touching myself and feeling really aroused, and I suddenly felt a really good feeling of warmth rush over my whole body, like all the good feelings that had been building in my clit just spread out everywhere. It felt amazing, but I didn't scream wildly or go into another plane of existence or anything... I wasn't sure if I was having the vaginal contractions or not, and I didn't have the feelings of immediate deep relaxation that everyone talks about having afterwards. I don't know that I'd describe it as a release of tension or pressure, it was more of just a really nice feeling that lasted for a couple seconds.
Does it sound like I had one? I do know that it is something I've never felt before and I really enjoyed it. Even if it wasn't a true orgasm I do know that I want to feel those feelings again. What does a female orgasm feel like to you?

Whats does an orgasm feel like for a women - I'll never know I'm a guy.

For a man it's wonderful and weird but also incredibly pleasurable.

I think a powerful orgasm is when the women is not only wet in the vagina but also all over the body.

Completley saturated from head to foot with some fluid that comes out of the pores of the skin.

Very fast heartbeat over 200+ per minute.

Not sure about breathing or what I think they call tachycardia because I was going through my own experience.

A womens body is more than slippery and so to is that mans.

I could feel her keegal muscles spasmodically and uncontrollably contract around me and initially the pressure is so intense that is causes a man to ejaculate.

That intense pressure is just too much like nothing I have ever felt before.

Afterwards one gets a feeling of euphoria, incredible calm, a feeling of bonding with your partner, an inner contentment ....

Orgasm I think is not something you will miss. I would say its a life changing event - because from then on nothing is the same from the perspective of average sex.

I guess I'll never know why one feels completely out of it or in a trance like state.

    Out of body experience.

I didn't feel like I was separate from her.

I felt like we were one in the same fusion of our souls - its a really weird experience.

Anyway I hope that clarifies what I think is the real thing.

There's an orgasm and then there's an orgasm. LMitB is talking about an orgasm. But you can't have a "big O" until you can have little ones. Baby steps.

So, did you have an orgasm? Maybe! I can't be sure ... but it certainly sounds like you're making progress towards having them, or having bigger ones.

LMinB, I definitely didn't feel anything that powerful. I'm a little bit inclined to think that maybe I was just on the brink of one, since I didn't feel fully satisfied afterwards, and I don't think my pc muscles contracted involuntarily like they are supposed to during orgasm. I actually got to that point by voluntarily contracting and relaxing my pc muscles, but I don't ever feel like I fully lost control. I also forgot to mention I got this weird feeling almost like I had to pee when it was happening. Is that normal? I will keep experimenting to see if I can have a real one/a bigger one. If that was just the pre-orgasm then a real orgasm is going to be great!

If you've been sexually active for two years, and have been trying on your own as "self-guided study" in addition to experimenting with one or more partners over this two years, then what you had may be what your body offers you for orgasms.

The fact that your clit feels good when you touch it, and that you felt something building, tell me that you can and will experience more satisfying and intense orgasms, but maybe not. I have a friend who is 38, healthy, and confided that she's only had one in her life, and it wasn't all that explosive.

Some women have great orgasm during sex and never or rarely masturbate. Some women have few or no orgasms during sex, but masturbate regularly to orgasm. Some women have really good orgasms in only one or two positions. Some need vibrating toys, some nonvibrating toys. Some can have orgasms just from nipple stimulation or can orgasm instantly with anal insertion. Some need to hear that special dirty talk during sex... You get the idea. We're all different, and our bodies and needs change with age, as do our partners bodies and needs.

By all means, keep experimenting. However, don't be heartbroken if what you have is what your body and mind allow for you, and not a great deal more.

Yes, orgasms come in many forms and the ones in the movies with the woman screaming, all sweaty and exhausted afterwards is only one type. I do think you had an orgsm. Not all women have strong vaginal contractions that can be easily felt. Also, not all women have an immediate drop in energy afterwards. Every person is different. Many women experience this series of "little"orgasms. These women either think they are having multiple orgasms or think they are getting all excited without orgasming. The truth is that they are orgasming. Just in a different way.

You may be able to experience the Hollywood orgasm some day. But don't sweat it if you don't. Its all normal.

Orgasm from what I know myself is not something that happens all the time in fact I would say its reasonably difficult to achieve a real humdinger of an orgasm.

The real perfect orgasm that I was fortunate to be on the end of took a long time to achieve and I seriously doubt most guys could be bothered, even I would say it takes its quite painful to have to wait for the women to be ready.

I spent hours on foreplay and I doubt most women let along guys would be patient enough to endure what is required to reach that heavenly place.

By the time she was ready my arms where aching and I was suffering from what they call "blue balls" a condition where the testicles rise up into the body which causes considerable pain.

Its caused by hightened arousal over too long a period of time.

Women can have mini orgasms which aren't as powerful but neverthless very pleasureable.

Come on ladys why do you want to have an orgasm - I mean you'll probably lose your job because your spending too much time having orgasmic sex !!!

In fact I think it would become a problem if you knew what it was like.

Thank you for the advice everyone. I discovered the wonders of the bath faucet recently after writing this post. It easily gives me a huge orgasm within minutes, and they seem to keep getting stronger the more I have them. They are incredible, and definitely not "little Os" anymore. I still have yet to orgasm with my partner, and it seems to take me hours to get there any other way, but I think I'll figure it out eventually. I'm just happy to be orgasmic.

I have to say, I've been orgasming since I was very young. but the clit is the way to start. I can have very powerful orgasms with just my clit. Later I found out about gspot, but it happened very naturally.

I'd say, just keep doing what feels good. You will have more experiences, and discoveries as time goes on. You may think you are experienced now, but there is nothing that can replace experience with, well ... experience.

enjoy your journey, really. that is the best part. ~.^
