Sounds like you answered your own question. If it were ejaculent fluid, would there be a "huge puddle that smelled like urine"?

The 2 times this happened to me I am certain it was urine. One time I was alone the other time, I was having sex with my husband. Lucky for me there wasn't much in my bladder so he didn't knew I had peed on him.
