Clit too sensitive, can't orgasm. Help!

I am 19 and have been sexually active since the age of 15. I have been with multiple partners in my time and I have not been able to achieve orgasm. With my partner or with myself. I've tried and so have my partners and I just can't seem to get there. My clit is overly sensitive and direct stimulation causes me to retract and immediately want to stop. If I stimulate through panties or without direct stimulation, it'll feel amazing but then I start to lose feeling and become numb to clitoral stimulation. And don't get me wrong, I enjoy being penetrated more than anything! But that just doesn't get me to it. I don't know what else I can do. And p.s.- my long term boyfriend who I love much is pretty much a sex guru! Talk about knowing the Kama sutra in and out. We have tried every position that is supposed to help women achieve orgasm without any success. If you have any helpful information, I would greatly appreciate it! Maybe some supplements or vitamins that could help?

Hi alyssa. Are you saying you've never had an orgasm? If that were the case, don't panic but I'd suggest you talk to your doctor. She may be able to recommend a specialist in whatever area might best address that, be it physical or possibly psychological. It could be just some internal hurdle you have to jump, but there's no way for any of us here to really know what's going on, and you may need more specialized care/treatment than just vitamins.

Good luck and let is know how it goes.

      Hello jen1147,
I have had an orgasm. Sorry for the miscommunication. That's where it starts to become a little weirder. The orgasms I have had come at night. During dreams. But not every night or any particular pattern. And my dreams aren't really sex dreams when I have the orgasm.

Orgasms can be really complex processes for women - we have to have both our bodies and our minds in the right place, and both of those have to be communicating freely and effectively. But when that happens, watch out.

The point is though that if you have a faulty signal somewhere in the chain, there's probably no amount of pep talk from any of us here that's gonna get it straightened out for you. That's what your doctor's for. Go see her.

I agree. This is probably something best sorted out with your doctor. They can determine whether there is a physical problem and what needs to be done to correct it.
They can also help figure out if it is some other mental road block like anxiety or stress or something like that.
