I've done that before too and have gotten extremely intense orgasms. There's nothing wrong with it in the sense that it won't cause you any damage, but if it's that intense for you, then you can get acclimated so that lesser stimulation that you get with other things won't be enough. The best fix, if this is worrying you, is just to stop using the faucet at least for a while.

Since the faucet is fixed and only so high up, I would suppose you are on your knees and thrusting to accomplish the masturbation. Doing such is much more active than using your hand or a toy. As such, you have to coordinate many more muscles and that can increase the tightening of your muscles when you orgasm. Also, you are probably using more pressure than you were masturbating other ways. Generally, the more intense the orgasm, the more you want to do it again the same way. Fully standing may be every bit as intense.

Instead of using the faucet every time, use it only occasionally as a treat. This way you will regain your sensitivity to masturbating other ways, including when you are staying lazily in a warm bed on a cold morning. One caution with a faucet, make sure you haven't been running hot water through it before masturbating with it.

Using the faucet won't do you any harm. I used to do that before I got a vibrator (waterproof just in case). Faucets here are so frustrating though because water pressure is rarely very high and the water doesn't fill the whole faucet opening causing it to move from side to side where it comes out. I replaced the shower head with one that had a long pipe and massage setting. Solved the awkward positioning under the faucet, the switching flow, and low water pressure. That was back at my mom's house when I was 16-17. I haven't used water for masturbation in years. Toys and my sex life are pretty satisfying. If you just stop using a high stimulation source for awhile sensitivity to other things will come back.
