I've never thought of need for sex nor have I ever craved it. Nov 2013 I had the mirena iud inserted somewhere in Dec it broke off I found only the strings. Ive ad two menstrual cycles since. I dono I my body is going through withdrawals of the progesterone? Or this boxed up cravings leaking out. The past few weeks? I cant stop feeling so horny. I think about sex all the time. Is there something wrong with me? I feel awkward asking the gyno.

Did you confirm the iud was gone or did the strings just detach? That part of your post is not clear. Anything birth control that changes hormones can change sex drive one way or the other. -
Honestly? Im not sure where the mirena is. It wasn't found in either 2 xrays or the ultrasound. Im getting a CT and MRI end of this month. Before the mirena I never had sexual urges. Ive lived like a nun the past 9 yrs. Out of no where? I cant stop thinking I need sex. Well, guess that makes senses the changes of hormones could be the cause.Comment

I don't know about the Mirena at all; others can opine on that. But if you look at some other posts a number of women have had these sudden boosts that seem to come out of nowhere and don't seem to be tied to bc.
Mine has been quite distracting and I am past menopause.Comment
