    Peeing after sex

So I just came back from the doctor with a bladder infection. My boyfriend and I were looking up the causes and we were cracking up because one of the causes was frequent sex, which we have been doing (We can't help it. We love each other). I have gotten bladder infections before, but I wasn't sexually active, so this can't be the sole reason.

One of the solutions to prevent bladder infections was to pee after sex. My question is does this really work? I'm also going to drink more water since that is another way to prevent them.

Yes! That does help. It won't "guarantee" you won't get a bladder infection, but it flushes out any bacteria that may have found it's way into your urethra during sex. I always pee after sex, because if I don't I know I'll get one. You're more susceptible to get one if you don't pee after sex, especially if you're having sex frequently.

Peeing frequently no matter what the situation is generally good, I think. Not like every 20 minutes, but you should never hesitate if you have the urge.

Yeah - do pee straight afterwards if you can, it's certainly helped me in the past.
