    No sexual arousal anymore

Hi there I'm new and looking for a bit of advice.
I'm a 26 yo woman and nothing seems to turn me on anymore, I used to be able to get aroused easily with just my imagination or a sexy guy on tv but now nothing seems to work I get the urge like I want to have sex with my partner but my body doesn't respond we have to use a lot of lube to make sex more comfortable but I find that lubes can sting and I've tried many. Weve tried many different things, watching porn, sensual massage, kissing touching toys all sorts of things, i can eventually get a physical reaction from using a vibrator but no feel of release like I used to get just kind of a throbbing. I do suffer from depression but have done for most of my life and it never used to affect me this way, im not currently on any anti depressants. It's just driving me crazy because its making being intimate with my partner in anyway quite difficult because I know I'm not working properly and it's very distracting and upsetting.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

Depression can definitely play a huge role in libido, even if you think you've got it under control. I've also dealt with depression for a long time now and it's a total sex killer. What have you been doing to manage your depression?

A few basic questions I have is, what is your diet like? Are you getting enough healthy foods and vitamins? Also, do you exercise regularly. Diet and regular exercise can play a huge role in not only helping depression but getting your blood flowing make arousal easier!

My sex drive has tanked lately partially due to depression. I have a learning disability, diagnosed autistic 4 times but dunno how accurate that is, and I was on my last chance to accomplish a college degree. The stress was getting to me, my insomnia flared up, depression followed, and finally my husband told me I could give up on it because he'd had enough of watching me struggle and cry over it. I had to seriously increase my medication to counter the insomnia and now I'm on a cocktail of high dose antidepressants plus my birth control pill. Every now and then the meds still just randomly fail and I'm up till 4am. My sex drive hasn't fully recovered. Even before that I've had to use lube for the past 5 or 6 years unless the guy I'm with wants to take a good hour getting me aroused enough. I found some lubes that work (I react badly to lots of them, especially the warming ones) and it's just become a normal activity to apply it.

Anything you are taking even over the counter can impact blood flow and lubrication. Sometimes just getting older changes your hormones enough to cause minor problems. For some that have masturbated and had sex a lot it also seems they can become steadily numb to things. It takes more and more extreme measures and new ideas to get aroused. How long you've been in a relationship can also change how your body reacts even when you aren't consciously aware of various things. There are lots of possibilities and it may still just boil down to changes in your depression.
