Lots of options because people like different things, and some are not compatible with condoms (always check), and some people have sensitivities. A water based is probably best to try first. Something like astroglide liquid.

silicone can last longer but is a pain to clean up. Water-based is easy to clean because it just washes away with water, but it can dry out more easily.

Silicone is stronger and lasts longer but it can make things too slippery so there is less sensation and it doesn't wipe off very well. Some people have bad reactions to using it from the constant dampness.

Water based lubricant requires more lubricant, doesn't make things as slippery, and may lose effectiveness if you are having a long period of sex and not producing any of your own lubricant to help. It wipes off easily though so you can get it all off at least with a trip to the bathroom but often just a paper towel after sex. Warm moist areas are what help create yeast infections.

That's not touching all the lubricants that have stuff added like warming which come with their own risk. I react badly to anything but plain water based lubricant.

I'm not worried about condoms, because we aren't using any.I just need something that's gonna last longer and be slippery where we won't have to be stopping to add more in order to keep having intercourse. What have any of you ladies used before?

I had a bottle of astroglide. It lasted fooooreeevvveerrr. With a few drops needed a tiny bottle was still around 4 years later. Now we use ky jelly personal lubricant. Just a plain old water based lube with nothing added. My husband likes the warming ones but I end up with swelling and then spend several hours holding an ice pack between my legs. We have to buy a medium size container once or twice a year. Although we buy more bottles due to tossing it randomly away in the middle of sex and losing it rather than using it up. Then when cleaning I drag several near empty containers from under the bed or behind a night stand.

I usually use Astroglide which is water based. It may not last as long but if I start to dry out I just apply more.
