    Sexual Capacity

Ladies, does your general level of hornyness and ability to climax vary from day/week/month to day/week/month, and/or in an appreciable pattern over the course of your life?

Examples of the first part -

    You're hornier on weekends
You're able to climax 10 times a day throughout the month of January, then 5 times a day in February, then 20 times a day in March
    You're always equally horny
You're orgasm capacity is always the same - you're a five a day girl and that's that

Examples of the second part -

You were hornier at 20 than you are at 30
You used to be able to orgasm 10 times a day over a fun weekend at 23, now you don't seem to have a limit at 43
Your sex drive has always been red hot or ice cold
You're orgasm capacity has always the same - five a day at 25 and five a day at 50

Guys can answer too but if you do, please report on your women. I'm interested in female sexual response specifically here. Also this is not actually a "how many times a day can you cum" thread, I want to know about consistency in appetite and performance or the lack thereof in the short term and long term.

And please no self-replies (replying to yourself or posting back to back unless there's a good reason), that's a pet peeve of mine and I think I'm entitled to not have to see it in a thread I start. Thanks.

i am a man who has tracked my wife's menstrual cycle and our sex life for about 7 months now. she (40yo) is extremely horny and orgasmic for 7-10 days after her period ends. things drop off drastically for about a week before her period begins. they pick up again a bit a few days before her period ends. that is the ebb and flow of her sexuality as it relates to her monthly hormonal changes. i'd say she reached her orgasmic peak in mid 30s with it slowly decreasing.

I'm a guy so I can't speak for any gal here. However there is a growing epidemic of hypothyroidism in the western world and there is a strong association between low thyroid function and low sex drive. It affects both men and women of course but it seems to affect women more so. As women grow older they are more prone to be diagnosed with low thyroid and that could well affect a woman's hornyness level. Again I'm just a guy in his twenties who has an interest in these things.

On a side note there is an actual condition called Persistent genital arousal disorder. This condition is characterised by being in a constant state of arousal 24/7 and it affects only women. It usually develops from mid thirties onwards. I hope as a guy I have contributed in a meaningful way to this thread.

There is no schedule. If I read lots of erotica I want lots of sex. When I'm bored I read more erotica and watch more porn than if I have lots of work. If I'm not getting along with my partner then I don't want sex. My sex drive has dropped but I don't think it's age related. I had to bump up my sleeping meds to an insane level and doubled my weight in the past few years. I could probably go back to having an extremely high sex drive if I could motivate myself to read books I have waiting around. Basically the more opportunity I have to think about sex the more I have sex. Not that I don't think about sex several dozen times a day anyway. :P

You should check out you're thyroid function with you're endocrinologist. Weight gain is a classic symptom of hypothyroidism.

There is a natural ebb and flow of sexual desire and this is as it should be. There is some hormonal changes that go on throughout each cycle and this affects one's libido. I think its all natural. There will be times when I'd be raging mad at something, and this would bring about a heightened sexual arousal, conversely I've been very sad and that has had the same effect on me. I seek to drive out my demons so to speak. However, try and be romantic with the phone ringing, message beeps coming on, bills all a day late, kids not coming home on time, and I've just finished cleaning the house -- there will be no way that sex would enter my mind at all. For me, if things are going good in my life and I'm accomplishing what I need to accomplish then my frame of mind says I'm good to go.
That which we forget may as well never really happened.

I am not sure my contribution will give much energy to your informal research, but I can't resist, because I'm curious about myself in this area anyway. There are so many variables for me, I'm not a great study.

Mine is heavily influenced by stress, I'm certain.

It has decreased over the years but I'm not sure if that's truly my state of being or due to a failing marriage and now having no SO.
There is a hormonal component but I can't nail down anything consistently, probably due to stress interfering in those times as well.

Intensity and frequency (of o's) have also both declined over the years.

Well Kitty stress can really effect the libido. I done some researching of this on line oh OK. I was bored nothing to do lol. But the stress will effect men more then it would women with sex. But it said men who live alone will tend to lose the feeling to have sex more then it will for women living alone. Well I say good luck on the dating scene. I guess it's a pain but I hope one day you find that man you can enjoy life with again.
When out driving always turn left. Then, should you become lost, you can find your way home by reversing the procedure and always turning right.

I guess I am a little different based upon what has been posted so far on the subject. I am in my mid 50s and it seems the older I get, the hornier I get. During my 20s and 30s I wasn't really horny until way into foreplay. During my 40s that began to change and I found myself getting very wet even before foreplay started. Can't wait to see what happens in my 60s and beyond!

I am a horny woman generally but I get mad 2-3 days before my period it gets so bad I just wanna pounce on my hubby. The most I've ever orgasmed in a day was 4 times and I have not tried to break it. Sometimes I get these random horny spurts so If I am at work I will all of sudden feel in the mood and then I will daydream about it after a few minutes it goes away or If I see my hubby do the gardening I will think to myself look at that hunk and I will feel aroused.

my sex drive hasn't changed that much since I was 20 (I am 29) if anything since I got married it has increased. My sex drive has always been fairly high my hub's drive is just insane if he had it his way it would sex all day everyday with me. I will be 30 soon and I will apparently enter the period when I am most horny. bring it on.
It's all fun and games until you mess with a Portuguese girl.
