Wife turns down sex often, but secretly masterbates to porn

My wife and I have been together for 4 1/2 years (married for 3 years), are in our late 20's/early 30's, and have a 1-year old child. When we were dating and for about the first year or so of marriage, we would have sex fairly often, maybe 2-3 times a week (and at our peak, daily). Since then, we have fallen more into the 1-3 times a month range. I've always had a stronger sex drive than her, as I would prefer to be intimate every other day or so, whereas she can seemingly go much longer. I realize that every other day is not always realistic (especially with a young child), however I feel we should at least be having sex 1-2 times per week.

While she enjoys sex when we have it, and nearly always orgasms, sometimes multiple times (2-3), she never initiates intimacy as she has stated that it makes her uncomfortable to do so. Therefore, that leaves it to me to initiate things and be shot down frequently since she is the one with the lesser sex drive. Needless to say, the frequent rejection is disheartening and off-putting, but a "necessity" the way things are today. I have been telling her, especially for the past few months, how dissatisfied I am with the frequency with which we have sex, and she apologizes but never takes any action to change anything. There is always a different excuse (too tired, not feeling good, too late, not in the mood, etc.).

My wife is a teacher and therefore has the summers off and during the school year gets home from work much earlier than I do. I was on her iPad one day this summer and somehow stumbled onto the browser history and happened to see that it was completely blank. Since my wife is on her iPad incessantly, this struck me to be unusual. Though the history was gone, I found out by searching online that some of the history would be preserved through Cookies that are saved on the device. Upon reviewing, I found multiple porn sites in her Cookies (tube8.com, fuq.com, fetish sites, etc.). Since then I have been clearing the Cookie data out daily and checking back to see if she visited any porn sites and I have tracked my results. On a typical week during the summer she was looking at porn (and I'm sure masterbating, since she admittedly used to masterbate to porn daily before we were married) 3-4 days a week and since school has resumed she has done so 2 times a week (presumably after school, but before I get home). Meanwhile, we she has been rejecting sex approximately 2-3 times per week and we have been having sex only once every week to two weeks.

I somewhat confronted her recently when she turned me down for sex and asked her why she didn't want to, insinuating that she was being satisfied sexually in some other way, to which she flat out denied and acted offended. Meanwhile, I know that she is lying.

What should I do? Should I confront her head on? I feel as though this is a borderline act of infidelity as she is essentially choosing another form of intimacy over being with me. I love her so much, but feel betrayed and unneeded. Thanks in advance for any help.

My first comment will be about the appropriateness of your detective work. It seems to me rather intrusive to your wife's privacy. Rather than truly communicate you also want to bait her or catch her in a lie. None of this is healthy in a relationship.

Lack of sex is usually a symptom of other problems in a relationship. Lack of trust seems to be one of them. Compound marital issues with the stress of a new child and it can be overwhelming for her.

When men whine about the lack of sex (and I have been guilty as well), the conversation is often charged with recriminations and hostility. In my experience, that is the worst way to deal with the issue. Women generally need a safe, less stressful and trusting environment for intimacy. How can you create that for her? What can you take off her plate?

Improve the relationship and your sex life will improve. Sneaking around checking up on her will only create more conflict and less sex.

ok, it is ********ty that she is satisfying herself but not you. i suggest you read a book called "married man sex life". she may have some issues with you and this book will help you turn the tables. it may also be that she does it when it is convenient for her. considering you have a 1 year old it may be easier for you to initiate earlier in the evening when she is not winding down for bed.

you seem pretty tech savvy. to have fun with the situation, put (free) opendns content filtering on your wireless router and customize the blocked page. when she tries to go to a porn site, the customized block page could say "sorry this site is blocked....see your husband for sexual satisfaction".

You have a 1 yr old child.. 'nuff said. Seriously though, after I had my kids I was knocking my hubby back for yrs. I just hated it and didn't want a bar of it (pardon the pun) We got through it, I got over it and now sex is awesome again and I initiate it as much as he does.. she may just need time to feel normal again?

Bubba, my HB has major PE problem, 3 pumps done .maybe bout 8-10 pumps with pills ( Viagra/ cialis etc). Things become way worse after his prostate surgery .I only enjoy piv but all these years (bout 14 years) ,no piv get me to O, so I give up & rather reach my destination myself, just plain clit O. .

this makes me sad to hear you have to please yourself alone due to this issue.

have you tried penis sleeves or extenders? that could give you the PIV sensation you crave and also help your HB last as long as you need. although i can last much longer than that, i often cannot last as long as my wife needs. this helps us. i am sure your husband is aware of the issue. he may be open to this so both of you can enjoy this experience together. bring it up as a way to last longer not that his penis is too small.

can you orgasm from penetration alone?

FH, I'll list a few things that could be the problem, a few what-ifs that crossed my mind when I've read your post.

Perhaps the explanation to what is happening is in the "she almost always orgasms".

Perhaps she isn't orgasming as often as you think she is. I'm not implying she's faking orgasms. I'm implying you're perhaps overestimating the number of times she does. If sex is often frustrating, because it doesnt end with resolution, one gives up on it.

If she has a little time after work, baby is sleeping, before she has to cook dinner, or while it's cooking, in a couple of minutes of masturbation, she can have an orgasm. It's a lot easier than sex, and the result is guaranteed.

Another problem is arousal. Perhaps the way you're trying to get at it isn't arousing to her.

Another thing to consider: when she gets home from work, she's in a relatively good mood. But by late, she's resentful of having cooked dinner, cared for the baby, done the dishes, the laundry, etc.

I'm sure none of it must apply to your couple, but it could be useful food for thought for other people.

There are times when I'm not horny but crave an orgasm because I'm anxious and stressed.. I don't feel compelled to have sex for release of my anxiety just want release.. Maybe her sex drive is super low fr having a young child but she still needs release for stress purposes and it's easier to get that fr porn cuz u can be lazy and selfish.... However this excuses watching porn but not the fact that she rejects u.. She should still want sex for the connection. Maybe u aren't making her feel connected fr sex. Try being extra sweet and loving and complimentary during ur sex
