sex on the brain!!!
me and my partner have been together for 9 months, he's 33 and I'm 28. I've never had much of a sex drive before I met him (how I had three children I don't know!) but I don't know what it is about him but I just can't get enough. I seem to be turned on all the time and want to have sex with him all the time, we love each other, but two things worry me, one is that he might think I only want him for sex, I told him when we got together that I've never really been interested in sex before but a couple of months into our relationship I told him that no one has ever affected me how he does. the other thing is that I now I enjoy sex, I don't want it to fizzle out and stop if that makes sense?? I feel a bit stupid coming here asking advise on this but I don't know if it's normal?? -
Rarely do we have a poster with this "problem".
First, I highly doubt that your partner thinks he is just around for sex. Knowing that he affects you in this manner is probably a great turn on for him as well. My supposition is that he is extremely happy with your sex drive and has deepened his emotional connection to you through the intimacy.
Second, sex doesn't fizzle. Relationships fizzle and sex is the first thing to be affected. Keep the relationship song and healthy and you will keep the passion alive. Don't worry about what someone considers "normal". If you read enough of these posts, mix-matched sex drives seem to be far more "normal" than the one you have. Enjoy the ride and but always make sure that the two of you communicate and solve real problems as they arise. With three kids, I am sure there are plenty of issues . . . ."The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you." Despair.com "Dysfunction" -
haha... I missed out that he has three kids also. so that's 6 between us...
I suppose out relationship is still relatively new but we are very close and we always speak up if one of us isn't happy so I hope he would have told me if he felt I was too much. we said from day one we would talk about things as soon as there is a problem. I think this has helped us become so close.
I think because I've never been like this about a man I just got used to it and it was just who I was. I think it's thrown me and I can't work out what's changed.
it's not just sex I suppose, I enjoy touching him and being close to him. last night we had sex then I rolled him onto his front and gave him a back massage, I enjoyed doing that to him almost as much as I enjoyed having sex with him. I don't know if being like this is normal lol. I've not been like this before about anyone.Comment

It's likely sex will be a little less frequent eventually but if the relationship stays good your sex drive and experiences should continue to satisfy you. Libido is rather sensitive. It seems even more so in women. Many report times of their life and relationships on both ends of the spectrum, extremely high sex drive and barely any sex drive, just from their mood during a period of time. Good relationships and low stress environment will often raise your sex drive a lot. I'm not sure if it's the lack of complaining neighbors banging on our door, we had the downstairs people come scream at us for my husband making a hot dog late at night once, but my sex drive has spiked ever since we moved in to our new house. It's also the first thing to go when the relationship has issues. Frequently people blame the lack of sex for the failing relationship when the opposite is nearly always true.Comment

It's what love is all about; experiencing the pleasure of giving as much as receiving. Enjoy it.

kira: we have had a lot of stresses since day one lol my nan died just before we got together, we have had problems with one of kids not taking to me as well as we would have hoped, as well as everyday stressed etc. he's working two jobs right now, but both of us seem to see having sex as a way to wind down and I suppose a comfort. I think after discovering I do like having sex, or maybe more specifically I have only ever enjoyed sex with him I don't want to lose that. I like the closeness and the intimacy. I think he thinks I'm just a sex addict though haha.
effy2014, I think I feel a bit sad now! I've not experianced anything like this. I've only gotta look at him and I want some kind of physical contact. I can't explain it, I could quite happily have sex with him over and over again and I love to just touch him and stuff. I worry it makes me a bit odd?Comment

If it makes you odd, it's odd in a good way! The best way for him. Stop worrying.
