    clitoris is numb

hi, I think I have a serious problem. im 20 years old, I've been sexually active for 3 years with 3 different partners. before that, I had been attempting masturbation for at least 4 years. I am completely numb, I feel no pleasure from anything. I could try to stimulate my clit for hours, and it feels no different from rubbing my elbow. during intercourse, I can feel what's happening but that's all. I get wet, but it only lasts for a few minutes because nothing's being stimulated. I get aroused if I'm turned on, but there's no release. nothing feels good. until a few days ago, I thought maybe all my partners (including myself) were doing everything wrong, but recently I read about insensitivity in the clitoris. here's the thing, since I was little (like 7) I would do this thing where I would take my hands and apply a lot of my pressure to my vagina/clitoris. no penetration, no rubbing, just pressing down over and over and eventually I would feel this weird sensation, and then afterward id have to pee. that was what I thought was releasing my sexual energy, because I would do it when I felt aroused by something. I don't know where I learned to do it. but doing it several times a week for all those years..I think I numbed my clitoris. I figured out years ago that what I was doing wasn't masturbation, but I've never felt anything, nothing's I've tried vibrators, birth control, every sexual act possible. I'll admit, even knowing that what I do isn't masturbation, I've continued to do it on occasion because it's the only way I can feel anything. I don't even know if I would describe it as "pleasure" though. I decided a few weeks ago to stop to see if id get any feeling back. So far nothing's changed. am I permanently desensitized? is there any way I can bring the feeling back? please help. I just wanna be like everyone else who can enjoy sex.

Do you take any medication? I can't say I have ever heard of anyone with this problem. I'd definitely discuss it with your doctor

How dreadful for you. If I were a female I would understand more. I do not know if this helps but some time ago I had a problem getting an erection and it really got to me and the more I tried to get hard the worse it was when I failed. My Doctor told me to stop even thinking about it and let nature take it's course. I occupied myself doing lots of decorating (long overdue) in the house and would go to bed tired and I never had any sexual thoughts. Eventually I watched a naughty video on my computer and life got back to normal much to my relief. Try and chill out and not think about it and if you do not have a permanent partner keep it that way for a few weeks and do not touch yourself. Then whilst in bed think about something sexual that really turned you on in the past and you may get the feeling back again. I you were my girlfriend I would love to stimulate your clit, I have a special way that I know always turns the girls on, but you are not but I hope you soon get satisfaction. To a degree sex is free and shame you are not currently enjoying it. Good luck

Did you talk to your gyn about it? What did she/he say?

you need to see your gynecologist and see if possibly your clit needs to be circumcised or have the hood reduced so it can get more feeling does it stand up and come unhooded when excited

10/19/17 The clitoris & the UNDERSIDE of the clitoris - the "G spot " - same organ, different areas- are stimulated by the pudendal nerve. The vagina is stimulated by the pelvic nerve. The hypogastric nerve stimulates both the cervix & uterus, with the the cervix getting EXTRA help from the vagus nerve. This is designed for propigation of the species as tilting of the cervix is essential for pregnancy. The hypogastruc nerve bypasses the spinal cord, which explains why ppl who have been paralysed can still orgasm - & get pregnant. BTW, the clitoris is a large organ, filling the entire crotch area not only just under the skin, but also extending into the prlvic cavity. Only the tip, or "glans," is visible & palpable. From the glans & internal shaft it then bifurcates internally, having 2 "legs" or "crura." From from the tip of the glans to the end of just one “crus," it is about 10 centimeters in length! Regarding your situation, first question: you're sexually active & have NEVER seen an an OB GYN - ???? Second, you may very well have a neurological disorder. Only a dr will be able to diagnosis this. That's why seeing an OB GYN first is ESSENTIAL. Oh ... & what you've been doing since 7 (pressing on pubic bone/clitoris) IS MASTURBATION. Any, any type of touching, grinding, using fingers/hands, rubbing with/up against objects, etc, of the genitals, including breasts, for pleasure is masturbation, doesnt matter if you "cum," or not. - RN, BS
