    Older the Better?

Yes, I am a guy and I don't even know if we are suppose to be in here. If not I am a lesbian. My question is I am single like every other male online. I am 42 and I posted a ad on Craigslist like 92% of all males. I was looking for a older woman because I have had it with the drama of the younger ones. I got a response which blew my mind that was actually a real person. She is 64 and is attractive to me. I have absolutely no problem with the age difference. She has a husband and he suffers from Dementia and Cancer. She basically is just his caregiver. She is pretty forward which I love from a woman. Her response was it has been over 5 years since I had sex. I want to be held and feel closeness with a man. I also want to make love.
Now what I want to know from the older ladies in this forum is when you get to that age. Is it any different as far as needs. Is the drive the same? Is it as appealing as a younger guy wanting a older woman as it is the other way around? Thanks for any insight you can provide. Chris

    Hi Chris.

Welcome to WH, most certainly there is a great mixture of regular members here, both male and female and of maturity regardless of age.

As for 64, I don't think that we have members of that age but 45 - 55 perhaps.

    Age is a number.

So, to answer you. A woman is a woman regardless of age. If she wants to be held close and make love, she is not asking for a screaming sex match, rather exactly what she has asked for. To feel wanted, loved, intimate, beautiful, held, important, sexy, desirable.

64 is still young. Mentally she wants to feel 50 again. That's a match for you : )

Please be wary of her needs and take it slow and easy but with passion and care for her.

She wants an experience that she will remember, not one that she will regret. That being feeling used.

I'm pleased that you stated you are "ok" with the age, love the way she is straight forward and just want to find out how to treat her respectfully.

You can imagine what she has gone through and how hard this must be for her to make such a decision in her life with the situation she is in.

Why wouldn't a 64 yo want the same intimacy as a 44 or 34 yo? However, I can't imagine that if she is care giver to her husband and he has the problems as stated, that she would have either the time or the energy for a relationship. If you are looking for something long-term it probably wouldn't be there. However later, it may not be the relationship that you really want. If she is simply looking to have her sexual needs met, and it's agreeable to both of you -- ehh, what the heck go for it.
That which we forget may as well never really happened.

How did I miss being one of the 92% of males having an ad on Craig's List? I never got the Memo or even a phone call ....

The age difference is not that much of an issue. As Claret and CW suggest, the most important issue is what kind of relationship the two of you are looking for. Whether or not she feel married, she has a husband for whom she is a caregiver -- her availability is dependent upon another man's needs. You may be looking for more of a relationship than to be her lover. Will she be emotionally available to you?

As for drama, I would inquire whether they have adult children that are in the picture. I can only imagine that kind of drama should they know about you. There are complications to every relationship. Just go in eyes wide open.

I'm 60. Only difference I've noted is I need a lubricant. My drive is higher than it was at 40. I have no idea about your last question.

I think on a sexual point of view, each is looking for a "non lazy" lover, as to why they choose someone younger or older. An older woman, younger men feel have more experience, a younger man to an older woman, may and I say may be more energetic or try to please more.

Chemistry is chemistry. Age is still but a number.

Well Tru2au there is many older women who still have high sex drive who are in the 50's or 60's. Me and the wife know a couple older women who are widows and lets just say. I think they would give a younger man needing CPR before there done lol. Plus more likely would make a younger women wish she had the skills of there older lady. The two women we know who are friends date only younger guys because most men in there 60's or 70's can not keep up or get it up so they search for the younger men then. So enjoy your self with her she will make you never look at another younger women again lol.
When out driving always turn left. Then, should you become lost, you can find your way home by reversing the procedure and always turning right.
