Adding some spice- but what spices do I use?

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on spicing things up in the bedroom.

I have always assumed that my husband knew more about sex than I did from exposure to mags, movies, etc. Seeing that I came from a very conservative background and am opening myself up to new ideas, he has been encouraging me to make more suggestions in bed, but I really don't know where to start...

I think maybe he might not want to overwhelm me or overstep any boundries so he doesn't initiate new ideas, but is always willing when I do. The other side of it maybe- he's doesn't know as much as I assume?!?

Either way does anyone have any suggestions...That doesn't involve anal sex or porn- (those are my personal boundries- I have no problem with what others take part in, but just don't feel that stuff is for me )

No one has any suggestions? Am I still so conservative that my personal boundries have restricted you from comment?
50+ views and no one has anything to offer?

I guess everyone was going to tell you to try anal or porn!

Here is my suggestion...go to a sex shop (you can go to one online if you are too shy or can't find one near you) WITH your husband. Walk through the store together and pick 1 thing out together. Than separate for 5 minutes and meet at the counter with another item you each picked out on your own. See what happens there.

The best way to spice it up in your situation is to make sure you are talking about it...if you feel like you need to learn things, learn together. No matter what, your husband needs to understand that it takes 2 to make a thing go right. So communication is key.

Thanks for your suggestion, Metboogie. Good idea. I really need to set aside time alone with my husband -(we have 2 toddlers)- we never seem to go out on our own, but dinner and then a stop at A&E or something may be good for us.
I have only visited those types of places a couple of times before going to bachelorette parties, but never for myself. I felt, even then, that people were watching me thinking things like, "What's her 'thing'? What is she into?" "How could she possibly consider wearing/ using that?" But I have the same issue with a Chinese Buffet and wondering if someone is counting how many times I go up to the buffet line-- Haha, I guess my "issues" run deeper than I thought

Actually, in reading other threads I see that despite my conservative background- I am pretty open to things and have tried a few- some with and without success. For example, [In reply to Dawn9800] I have no problem with oral for my husband- I offer and oblige with pleasure. And unlike alot of other women in the forum have no problem 'swallowing' or not depending on the moment. I don't feel, as some other posters, that its degrading to have him ejaculate on my stomach or breast- I even enjoy it.

There are a few things that I tend to be drawn to that he doesn't like..ie, He doesn't like to use food in love making in anyway (So much for honey, whipped cream and chocolate) and he HATES being tickled. He'll tolerate a little biting on shoulders, neck & ears- but I have to be careful not to be too aggressive. He's performed oral on me, but it's usually just in foreplay not to climax.

I've read a few books on sex & relationships, but am always diappointed to find them either rather raunchy & unrealistic or overly textbook/scientific. I want to be able to get other women's advice & views, but my 2 best girlfriends are my husband's sisters and they really would rather not talk about my sex life with their brother (I on the other hand, I patiently listen and comment accordingly on theirs, but am left without an outlet for my questions and views) I am happy to have found this forum where I have found a little bit of everyone's thoughts on matters without judgement.

okay- I think I am finished with my novel...

Ok I'll give it a go for some suggestions. Just remember, different people like different things.

Light bondage - tie him up. Tease him, get him excited just to the point of finishing, then straddle his face and have him lick you. When you are done, finish him by hand, mouth or riding, whichever you prefer.

Light bondage - same as above, but with you tied up.

Spanking - either before or during sex.

Role playing - try not to feel too silly. Pick your favorite scenario. Pirate and captive, Empress and her slave, etc. Beauty and the beast. Secret lovers. Inquisition and the captive witch.

Atmosphere - Light a dozen candles (careful about seting things on fire!). Mood music - weird electronic stuff, gothic chants, heavy metal - whatever floats your boat.

Kiss each other ALL over - find new spots that make the other make interesting noises. You may not even know what parts of your own body are exciting.

Sex toys - go to any internet site - there are a zillion variations. Just don't be too easily offended by some.

Have a secret affair - with your Husband. Arrange a clandestine meeting at a hotel.

Have fun. (that is the most important part)

There are many things you can do. You can learn to talk dirty during sex, You can set up dates, try dressing sexier for him. Go for a drive and tease him as he drives. Show up at his work or to meet someplace wearing an overcoat with nothing under it. Toys, sexual games for the bedroom. Try leaving him suggestive notes in his brief case, wallet, in the car where he is sure to find them. Roleplay, and fantasy nights where you both share your most recent fantasy or your all time favorite. This can lead to great roleplay. I commend you on trying to spice things up. Life is too short for 2 people who love each other to fall into a dull routine.

Start writing to him fantasy emails. My guy works out of town and I was at a lost for texting/sexing and I was always concerned of who might be around when I text so I started writing emails of fantasies of the past times together and things that I wanted to try with him. Setting the scene and running with it.. you don’t have to even finish the story, take him to the edge..

My first email out to him came back with “that’s incredible reading Sweetheart “ .. I was on a role from there.. our communication has taken leap & bounds and when he came home, Oh My Wow!!! And the talk continued.. amazing amazing amazing ? we have opened up like a novel!!
