Hi everyone.
I just noticed a pump (or sweling) on my vagina today, it felt a little sore throughout the whole day so I decided to check it. It hurts when I push the bump as well.
Im really worried about it, and I tried looking everywhere for some info, but I found nothing on bumps.
Also the day before yesterday, my boyfriend and I had REALLY rough sex... we might have used some objects as toys that we shouldn't have ie. something that might have been sharp. So it could possibly be a cut or tear.
It doesn't seem to smell, or have any strange discharge.
But there are so many factors, I also recently took the morning after pill so I hope it wasnt that. Please help me!

I am certain it was not the pill that you took. Is the bump just a swollen, skin colored, raised area? Or does it look like it could be white like a pimple or filled with liquid like a blister? Or does the bump have any shape to it?

If it looks like normal skin that is raised or swollen, kind of like if you really bruised yourself, it may be just that... a bruise. Keep an eye on it to see if it chages at all. Try cold compresses to help reduce the swelling.

If it has white or yellow color to it, it could be a pimple (you can get them down there too), an ingrown hair or infected hair follicle, or a small abcess. They will usually go away on their own, but if it continues to grow, then you should be seen by a doctor as it may need to be lanced.

If it looks more like a blister with clear liquid in it, it could possibly be a friction blister or the herpes virus. The herpes virus creates blisters which open up and turn into open sores.

If the bump has a distintively different texture and shape to it (kind of rough or lumpy), it could be the Human Papilloma Virus or "Genital Warts".

That's about all the likely possibillities. Let us know what happens.

Thank you very much for the fast reply! Your comment was very helpfull. I think it may be a bruise. It is very much how you described in your first example. So I have been putting cold packs on it and it helped! The are is still swollen, and its still feels a little hard to the touch. but it feels much better with the ice. You are most welcome! You can also take some Ibuprofin (Advil) to help with the pain. Keep an eye on it. Make sure it doesn't swell anymore or change colors. If it does, it could be an abcess under the skin. They start out as hard raised areas under the skin. But most likely, it's probably a bruise... as you said. Glad to help!

Bump Down There Too

Recently my boyfriend and I were having sex and I was kind of on the dry side when we first started out. After having sex i realize not only that Iwas soar , but that I had a bump down below also.It started off pea size and its decresing, but I believe i am making it worse cause every minute I get I check it to see if its gone and I am not making it no better by putting my hand down. Its the color of my skin, no oozing ,there aren't mutiples and it reallly doesn hurt at all until I touch it.What should i do? Should I keep applying warm compress and treating it like a boil or just leave it be?

If you guys used lube, it could be a pimple caused by that. I get them occasionaly if I don't clean it all off.

do you get bumps in your hair or inside the vagina? I have two bumps that are side by side and one has already broke while the other has a white tip. After the first one broke it bled. I felt both bumps before they surfaced and put alchol on it to make it surface quicker. They are painful but after there busted it's better. I'm thinking its a hair bump or infected hair follical. i also have bumps down there regulary.i find when i have a period i'm sure to have 2-3 after the fact.i am beginning to get them on my face now{unbelievable}i have been on antibiotics for 6 wks but that hasn't done the trick.also i had acne ointment to use and that isn't working.do anyone out there have the same problem as i do.i feel that since its period related that i should have an hysterictomy.but of course doctors don't believe that people know there own bodys.it's really driving me crazy.i'm 47 and have been having this as long as i can remember.thanks for taking the time to read this and i hope someone out there can help.oh yes.my abcyst are full of pus and blood some smell some dont

im not sure, but i know that is why im here. i was just asking the same question, found a lump after the used of a toy. now 1 week later, i bleed after i use it. my husband and i dont have sex, no more kids needed..just toys.

I have the same thing. I have three side byside and when I tried to bust one it was like a pimple but it wont go away. Any one with help?
