When I was in my early 20’s I didn’t like doggie style. I realize now it was because I perceived it to cause the woman to be in a more subservient position. I used to say and I quote “Why do they want to do it that way… I’m not a horse!” As I aged and became less uptight about it I discovered the way you can angle yourself to get the right spots. (Especially because it leaves the clitoris for action) To me it is one of the best positions because you can get some leverage to set the pace or you can choose to go with the flow. (I now love the horsey *** slap too

I do genuinely enjoy rear entry sex. The stereotypical "doggie style" is not that great for me, though it does allow for some enthusiastic hip thrusting by my partner, which is fun. There are variations that I prefer that I not only enjoy intensely, but can actually bring me to climax. My particular favorite is where I assume a position that looks kind of like I am playing leap frog. I kneel with my legs spread, resting my thighs on the back of my calves and propping myself up by propping myself up on my toes and leaning forward to support myself. He kneels with his legs between mine, so I am perched over his lap. I tilt my hips back, just a little, not too much, just enough to allow him to penetrate me. He then starts rocking back and forth. The angle of penetration is awesome. I get amazing G-spot stimulation, and he can pretty easily reach around to manually stimulate my clit. This might be a good position to try if your partner is experiencing pain, because the penetration is pretty shallow because of the angle. It might seem a little hard to visualize, but half the fun is experimenting to figure out what people mean when they explain positions. ;-)Comment

My thoughts on sex positions (or other activities): Unless you are just trying to get pregnant, sex is for fun. Whatever you and your partner enjoy is fine, and no position is degrading unless you think it is. Some positions by their nature tend to be more dominant than others - but that can be fun too.
If you start over-analyzing you quickly get into trouble: Doggy - degrading, he can't see your face. Woman on top - overly feminist, degrading to the man. Missionary - unimaginative, and a sign of a dull sex life. Standing: like having sex with a in a back alley, etc, etc etc. JUST HAVE FUN.Comment

What works for me is instead of being on my hands and knees i lay down on my stomach. My husband is a little on the large side so doggy style hurts. but when i lay on my stomach it doesnt go in so deep and it feels like we are more connected on an emotional level cuz every inch of our bodies are touching. plus he gets a good view.
