Orgasming more than once - women

How many women whether through sex or masturbation want to orgasm more than once during a session? If you are one of those women, does it take you a longer or shorter time to orgasm the second time around and is the orgasm just as intense as the first one?

For me, my clitoris is so super sensitive after orgasm that it cannot be touched and I honestly feel completely satisfied so I've never really tired to see what would happen. I wondered if after orgasming if my partner waited a little while and went down on me if I would be able to orgasm - I (very sadly) cannot have an orgasm through oral sex no matter how hard my partner tries and how good he is at it. I always worry I'm taking too long and he's probably wishing he can finish because of a sore neck or similar (even though he assures me not to think about it as he wants to do it and for a long time) so clearly thoughts like that are never going to help.

From limited partners, I have observed that after an orgasm, slow things way down but don't completely stop teasing her, just don't play with the clitoris for a while. Also from observation, the first orgasm may take a bit less time but subsequent ones take about the same amount of time.

Bringing her to climax is not a contest, so extended periods are OK. If you're worried about his neck, communicate and find some position that is good for the both of you. If he really enjoys giving you oral, longer is definitely better.

In my very limited experience the women I have been with can O more than once. Some enjoy that a lot. Others, like my wife, almost never want a second.

I'm always happy to take all the time it takes for her, I'm never getting bored. The stiff / sore tongue the next day is just a reminder of the previous nights fun....

Totally would depend on my mood. Sometimes I want multiples and sometimes one is all I need.

my wife is a '1 orgasm woman'.... 99% of the time I make her orgasm with my fingers as I am sucking her nipples and as soon as she's orgasmed she will take my hand away as to say 'stop I've had enough'... sometimes she is too exhausted after her orgasm to please me, so I'm left to finish myself off.... but most of the time she will move to my side of the bed and spread her legs apart for me to get on top of her for intercourse

I can, but most of the time don't even want to after the first one.

I've only read about women who can have multiple orgasms. I'm one and done. I can go on if my husband hasn't had an orgasm yet, but I'm not going to have a 2nd. When we were younger sometimes we'd go on and on, and eventually I'd get back in the mood and have a 2nd one, but that was unusual and long ago :-)

After reading cathy's post, I realized that her description is similar to me in my younger days.

I usually have several. The subsequent orgasms come faster than the first. I, too, have a sensitivity issue with my clitoris after the first orgasm. However, I find most of my orgasms are triggered by attention to the surrounding area (particularly the outer vaginal opening), so I'm not limited by the sensitivity at all.

That is something that I have noticed, too. The clitoris may be the area to go to to bring her to the edge, but simultaneous stimulation of another area may be the thing that takes her over the edge. With a lady that I'm thinking of, it was the outer posterior vaginal wall. A wet lip stimulated her clitoris while I stuck my tongue completely in to reach the right part. I think the rougher part of the back of my tongue helped excite her vaginal opening, too.
