My husband and I were both skydivers with many many dives each. Once you became a senior skydiver you were sort of given the run of the drop zone at the airport. There is a light beacon that could be climbed up about 4 stories high. Yup, we climbed that beacon and did the deed as it was going around and around. Amy40, it was the most amazing 10 years of our lives. We made so many good friends, we camped out at the drop zone and my husband became a jump master (he tossed students out of the plane on their first three or four jumps) and I became the Chief Provincial Freefall and other discipline judge. I would score jumpers on various techniques that allowed them to move on in their career. And at one time when skydiving was kind of considered for an Olympic Sport I was selected to train to judge that as well. As we know it didn't happen. Who knows sometime in the future. I think I'm a bit out of it all now though.
