Delta FBJ murine osteosarcoma viral oncogene homolog B (ΔFosB) and "sex addiction"

Search for [Delta FBJ murine osteosarcoma viral oncogene homolog B (ΔFosB)] and read about how it part of compulsive behavior including what is sometimes called sex addiction. Thoughts?

gambling, gaming, sex have potential for natural rewards within the brain's reward center.
involves biochemical reactions by the protein called (Delta FOSB for short).

it seems that FOSB plays a role but there is a lot of research still being done including research into meds that could inhibit the role of FOSB, it does not look like any human trials have been done yet

it also seems that even though there are lots of psychosocial reasons for drug addictions, it is basically biological:

"exposure to sufficiently high doses of a drug for long periods of time can transform someone who has relatively lower genetic loading into an addict."

Certain substances such as opiates can cause addictions in most people. Whether its a sex addiction or just compulsive behavior, I don't think it is an addiction in the same sense as an addiction to opiates.
