My husband and I have always agreed to monogamy as the formula for the happiest life. We are sexually adventurous, but exclusively with each other. After 15 years of marriage and three kids later, we've hinted to each other about other fantasies with the hint that one day we might explore. I guess it comes down to the strength of your relationship.
Personally I couldn't contemplate bringing others in, it doesn't appeal in any way, shape or form.
Though there may be positives (though none spring to mind), it could lead to jealousy, disgruntlement etc, etc (the negatives are endless) & fracture what was a perfect union.
