so we went to another museum activity and there was a DJ and music
tried and tried to get husband to go out on dance floor to dance
he didn't want to go out even after I said there is no one here that knows us (out of our town)
when we got home I kept asking why and it was like pulling teeth
then I said "you took me dancing when we were dating"
he said "that was courting"

Years ago I used to go out dancing with my wife and friends at a place that had just the right mix of music. Unfortunately it shut down quite a while ago and we were never able to find a replacement. Fun times - even though I am not a good dancer. For a person who doesn't like to dance, the middle of the floor where it is crowded can be more anonymous. We often danced as groups instead of singles or one on one. Today, I am more likely to be punk rocking.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, VirginiaComment
