Tantric or tantra is quite difficult to describe....its a spiritual, sexual 'deed'- which comes from the pre-hindu era. I guess its all about focusing/controlling your energy to a state of relaxation...end result being a mind blowing moment / orgasm....

I personally tend to get bored with the tantric dialog. Not to say that sexual energy, awareness and bliss are not attractive but the religious conotations in tantric practices turns me off to it. Physically it reminds me of yoga. Not the positions so much as I imagine the instructer sitting at the head of the class talking in a mono tone kind of chanting... breath... feel your muscles relax... look into your partners eyes and soul... take them into you... explore the light holding your partners hand... This tends to make me go uhg and turn the page.

I agree we need to connect with our partners and this connection tends to heigten sex and sexual pleasure but I feel that love and respect are the driving force behind this.

Anyway, I personally am not into or up for tantric sex or practices. Seems like alot of work to take something out of sex we should already have just being with our lovers. Sex is very physical. Tantric practice (IMO) is to focused on the spiritual side of sex and honestly, that bores me. This is just me though, I know many people love the tantric practices and swear by them. Im glad it works for them and more power to them.

Except for that quote above.... that part i would agree with the method, and in holding back your orgasms, seems to me this spells longer sex, much longer......and i um, kind of um, like that idea..... very much...

We have no robes, dialogue, candles or anything else.....Just a new awareness.....I just wrote my thoughts on what has happened to me...I found myself.......If I am spiritual, it was only in the giving of the inner me to my husband....I never knew her before....TC, C

Yes, I understand the logistics of tantra. Just saying that it makes my mind wander to these images. Nothing wrong with being spiritual or not, just that I find that part of it boring to/for me. Not to say that the teachings are not useful tools and I do agree with some of its philosophy. Mostly the need for connecting with ourselves then our partners in all ways, not just physical.
