I have found that using a desensitizing lube called Analblue works amazing for me. Just a small drop is enough to get me loosened up and relaxed enough to really enjoy anal. Like a few have mentioned, you have to be careful not to get injured using the desensitizing lube, but I found that if I use just a small drop it wears off quickly and by this time I'm relaxed and ready to enjoy.
