I love erotica! It’s such a fun way to get off. Stimulating the mind and body at the same time. If you like to read erotica too, I’d like to know if you mainly read it in book form or online. I don’t know if it necessarily counts as erotica, but “The Story of The Eye” by George Bataille might be my favorite sexual book of all time. It was first published in 1928 and it is so insane and fun and sexy!

YES!!!! Though in my circles we just call it smut LOL. So much better than stupid cheesy romance **** LOL. I love both reading and writing it. Usually read fanfic smut on Wattpad, where I also write. I used to write stuff just for myself and then destroy it in my teens, but then about a year ago I started writing online to help me work through my sexual feelings (same reason I came to this site). I have been writing a collection of short smutty Green Day fanfics (fave band since I was 13 LOL). And now I think I have really embarrassed myself by sharing all this LOL. But I agree that reading erotic lit is so much better than watching porn, since when reading you can really put yourself in that situation and imagine things being just the way you want them to be.

My partner and I love erotica to the point where we have started making our own together. Its funny how we can sometimes write out our fantasies in private better than explaining them in person. It all started when I wrote down a few sensual paragraphs about a fantasy scenario and then put my notepad aside. A few days later, I noticed my partner had found it and actually continued the story with a few more paragraphs of his own and left it unfinished. Much to my surprise (and delight), the story became quite salacious and very naughty. This evolved into a back and forth effort until we had a compete fantasy completed.

The final product was quite revealing and touched on many sexual areas we had never explored together. Needless to say, we found a new exotic means to discuss our desires openly without fear of being judged. Now we play out the parts in the stories which has added a new dimension to our sex life. Since then, we regularly write stories alone and then reveal them to each other each week. Each segment is only two or three paragraphs in length and left open-ended for other to continue. After a few weeks, quite an exotic story has developed which leads to a very interesting (and pleasurable) outcome.

I love the idea of writing erotica together with a partner! It combines creativity and sexuality and is such a cool way to live out (and try out) fantasies etc. And it makes for a pretty great relationship memento!

I really enjoy erotica, although I go through stages with it -- as both a writer of it and a reader of it. I'm in the not-at-all-interested phase of writing it but I still enjoy reading it, especially to remind myself I'm capable of arousal (two years of low libido and counting). I've used reading erotica as a pre-sex solo "foreplay" kind of thing in the past, too.

When I first started reading erotica, I read sex blogs mostly. These days, most of my erotic reading happens through a growing ebook collection.

I enjoy the written word as well. I have watched my fair share of porn although I do make a good effort not to go overboard with it and have actually tapered off with viewing it over the past decade.. Personally I can't stomach most porn which I believe is rather poorly done. I like well-scripted flicks with decent dialogue and foreplay. Also swimsuits do more for me than naked bodies in many instances.
