    Sex Toys

    Have questions about vibrators?

    We’ve got more answers!

For those women or men who use sex toys with their partners (specifically vibrators and dildos for women), what size toys do you use? How do women feel about a larger toy and then having sex with a smaller member? Can you recommend good places to buy toys?

It depends on what she likes. Sex toys are available in all sizes from tiny to "you've got to be kidding". My wife and I have played with toys that are larger and smaller than me - depends on what she feels like at the time.

There are many places to get toys. In the US, google on good-vibrations or thepleasurechest. Their stores are not seedy, OK for women.

Don't worry about her comparing yourself to the toys - I don't think that is likely (comments from women?)

I have found the local shops pretty comfortable places, avoid the seedy looking ones. Babeland online is woman owned and operated. Personally I'm not big on toys, just personal preference.

A dildo in no way competes with the penis of the one you love, and if you read up on these posts of women that own them : yet are still desiring more sex than they are getting from their S.O.: you can see that they are definitely not a replacement.

They provide different sensations, (bigger or smaller, vibrate or not etc) that to me are not better, so I don't think guys should ever feel intimidated by them. I rarely use them myself, have in the past though.

I would not mind at all my bf incorperating one into our sex play, either to watch me use it or use it on me. I think a lot of women, myself included, would have a hard time bringing one into the situation ourselves as mens reactions to them vary so much. From it being a turn on to it making them feel like you're unsatisfied. I think it would be fun to have him use one on me, to give me some extra orgasms before or after sex or if hes tired but still wants to make me scream

Too big is okay unless its just crazy big. You don't have to use the whole thing and can use just the portions you need lol. Small is okay too, I haven't tried this but hear that a small one is great to use in back for DP sensations during sex.

The first time I got a sex toy for my wife she was somewhere between skeptical and disturbed. But after we tried it a bit she found she really likes it. It provides some variety, lets me do nice things to her when I'm tired out, and at least long ago we would often use a toy for DP - which she really liked (later she lost interest). She won't use one on herself though - something I would find really exciting to watch.

In addition to big / small, vibrating / not, there is flexible / rigid, and smooth / ribbed. There are also toys in non-realistic shapes with various lumps and bends.

Sadly, although my wife really likes toys, she is too shy to shop for them (even on line), so I need to guess what she would like best and then try it out.

Thats odd because DH buys our toys as well. And while I do enjoy using them I'm not so keen on buying them.

Dildos. Girth is nice but the really long ones? Ouch... Having your lungs beaten up is no fun!

Vibrators. There are some that buzz at the wrong frequency but other then that?

Male sex toys. We just can't seem to find one that DH likes (Other then the SO) The male "mastubators" are mostly just junk. The penis stuff always the wrong size and so on.

PHoebee, why don't you like to shop? For me it is tough guessing what my wife will like - I don't have the right body parts to judge. There are a lot of options, and some of them are really expensive. (I got her a form-6 once, >$150, tried it once and didn't like it).

I agree that there aren't good sex toys for men. I guess women are better designed to please men than men are to please women.

For us, a vibrator and sex at the same time works well - best of both.
