Anyone here use coconut oil as lube?

Have questions about using coconut oil as lube?

    We have more answers!

Read our Knowledge Base article, “Can You Use Coconut Oil As Lube, Or For Anal Sex? Is It Safe?” here:

My wife and I are going to get away to a hotel tomorrow and leave our daughter at grandma's. I was going to pick up some Astroglide lube, but heard about some lovers who use coconut oil. It's supposed to be very slippery, healthy, and not slicky like some lubes.

Has anybody used it, and if so, do you recommend it? Can you buy it at most grocery stores? Thanks!

I would stick with the astroglide. Those oils you buy in the store are also loaded with things the manufacturer does not want you to know about and can cause a lot of irritation if the often guideline of "do not use internally" is ignored. Externally they are great, if you want the coconut oil use it as a massage oil and it will do wonders but internally I would approach with caution.

I agree, I wouldn't want to try that and wouldn't trust it one bit. Stick to the safe ones and preferably those from the pharmacy. The last thing you want is some kind of infection.

I use coconut oil for massage- nothing better for skin benefits. Use organic as there are methods of extraction of the oils that use chemicals when some of the cheaper oils are produced.
Coconut oil is made up of different constituent oils such as caprylic acid which is anti fungal and Lauric acid( also found in breast milk) which are very health beneficial.
Coconut milk will not go rancid and will store well.
Give it a try- However a good massage first with coconut oil will probably mean no other lube is needed.

        Good luck.
