Ordered a penis extender - now having reservations!

    Dear All,

In an effort to spice-up our sex life, I have ordered a "three inch penis extender" which happened to have a lot of rave reviews. I have been married 5 years and adore my wife. We are very happy and enjoy a healthy and satisfying sexual relationship for the most part, my only gripe being that I consider her a bit conservative whereas I am open to trying new things, though not involving third party participation.

I had always considered myself to be on the small side until I did some research and discovered that my 6 inch, 5 inch girth was if anything a bit bigger than average. My wife says that she is very satisfied with my proportions, and orgasms often sometimes up to three times with straight intercourse. So my size is not an issue or a motivating factor. She claims that she has not been with a larger partner and I think that I'm her fifth only.

I would like to please her with this toy and enable her to "experience" perhaps the closest thing to a big **** that she might ever get presuming that we live our married lives out without infedelity! I get exited exciting her, though I admit that I would also like to see her being penetrated by such a large one even if it is half fake!

The fear I now have is obvious. Will she get used to or subsequently crave dimensions larger than my own and secondly will the two inch diameter stretch her to the point that she subsequenty needs similar width to orgasm, and feels looser to me and I too small to her. Are the risks too great? I told her after ordering it and she too read a lot of the amusing reviews, and seemed game, then subsequently expressed similar reservations. She is not a fan of toys and has not used the rabbit vibrator I bought her. This is a liitle different because it would still be "half" me though. Any experience of large toys and their effects on normal sexual relationships revealed here would be of great assistance. My current fear inspired outlook is "bin it" when it arrives!

    Help appreciated!

My theory is, if it is not broken, don't fix it.

Your size is above average, she orgasms sometimes up to three times.

Finding out more about her body, experimenting with positions, sensuality and not just "sex" in my opinion is your answer to opening her up more as a woman than bringing in an extender.

Trust me, I have no idea why you mean think that longer the better, longer doesn't necessarily all fit in to start with it's not what you've got it's how you use it.

Sensuality, touches gently down her body without touching "the parts" for instance, is exciting as you are wondering what will happen next, and you are not being gropped.

Teasing is also another good move.

      Thanks CW

Us males are hit with "bigger is better" a lot of the time and it plays on our fears. Porn doesn't help either since we (and women) get the false impression that the average size is a few inches bigger than reality. This topic is a bit tired though...

My post is really about having a bit of fun, trying something different and whether my fears of it detracting from rather than enhancing our normal love making are vindicated. I seek feedback from women along the lines of: "I now crave the extra girth and we don't orgasm as regularly as we used to," or "I/we use a large toy/extender and have a lot of fun from time to time with it increasing my sex drive and sex with him still feels great...."

I think your advice is solid, though you didn't address my fears. I have searched this site for info on the effects of toys on relationships or similar threads and came up with a blank.

There was another recent thread on this where a guy got a large toy and expressed some regrets. I would say it was within the past 3-4 months. I personally don't get the fascination with doing it and it seems obvious what directions my feelings would go. I've been married 12 years and my wife has more orgasms than ever. I'm with CW on this.

It really depends on your wife. Every woman is different and she may or may not like the extra size. It will not diminish her orgasms with just you, but there is always that slight possibility she may like it better. That's not to say she won't like you naturally a lot as well. Just like the rabbit, she may suddently find it more pleasurable than having a real life penis (although majority of women do prefer the real thing). Anything is possible.

Although most women enjoy their partners regardless of the toy they are using, its possible for them to develop a preference for a particular toy.

My suggestion, if you have concerns, don't use it. Sex toys are supposed to be fun, not add more stress to your life.

My wife and I sometimes use sex toys - some much larger than I am. It adds variety to our lovemaking and we both enjoy it. It does not cause her to enjoy sex with me less, and I'm certainly not jealous of a piece of plastic. If it is going to stress you out though, then you shouldn't do it.

Here's the thread I was talking about:

Another interesting one from a woman's point of view:

My advice is wait for the mailman, smash the penis extender, and if you have to use a toy make it one that's smaller that you.

If my husband were a few inches long sex would be uncomfortable and he's average. It would hit my cervix. I know because I have a toy that is a few inches longer and it bangs my cervix painfully if not used just right. Longer doesn't help unless you can really control the angle and most guys can't figure out the angle or the toy/penis extender isn't stiff enough to hold the angle and hit the top center instead of going straight in and hitting the cervix. There's a reason a lot of women's toys are curved. They hit the right spot on the top instead of the cervix that way.

I've actually tried a few of these over the years with my wife. In general, she didn't like the texture or shape, until the last one I purchased. All the others ended up in the trash after one or two tries. The last one was a keeper, and it is much more naturally shaped and textured than the others. It's still a little sticky or tacky, which human skin isn't, so I usually put a condom over it just to give it a smoother surface. Because it's larger than what she's used to (natural me), we use plenty of lube.

If she bought it and told me I was too small, that might be a problem. I am small, and I bought it to please her, and because I like the idea of being able to give her more sensation and stimulation. She's only asked me to use it once. Otherwise, it's me who initiates its use. The fuller, deeper feeling and pressure on her cervix give her a whole different type of orgasm, in addition to the ones she has with me in my unenhanced state. As far as hitting the cervix and pain that Kira mentioned in her comment, the head is much softer than the head of my erect penis, so it just presses, never bangs into it, and it feels good to her.

I look at it this way. We're monogamous and firmly married. With the extender sleeve, I can offer her an light appetizer, a filling main course, or both, and in any order she wants. If we were into roll playing, it would be a great addition to our cast of characters, with props. If she didn't like it, or asked me to get rid of it, I would.

Even if we never used it, as a little guy, I like knowing that it's there in case she ever hints or says that she wishes there was more of me. It gives me confidence and another way to please her.
