I had health class in high school and the reproductive system got a brief mention but there sure wasn't any mention about the 'mechanics' of sex or why you should use a condom.

Our whole attitude towards sex is working so brilliantly that it seems half the people are parents by the time they reach 15 or 16 and the other half is traumatized by the thought of sex.
So true, I went to high school here in the bible belt. Tex, you will know all about Tyler, Tx right?? Well, I vaguely remember health class. But I remember talking about periods and giving birth. I don't remember anything much about sex and definitely not about condoms.

One thing to add, I really like the Trojan, Ultra-sensitive condoms. Can hardly tell it's being used. And I second about spermicide.

We had a fairly decent sex ed program here in Hawaii, they even handed out a wooden phallus to practice putting on a condom. They mixed it with family planning, so they could still endorce abstinence, while teaching you to be safe should you choose to go forward. Given that I grad with a few mothers, and about a dozen expecting mothers, I don't think the lessons take precedence over a lack common sense
