Speaking from experience and tons of reasearch on the subject, I would suggest an oil for your massages and a lube for your intimacy. Both are made for different purposes and do very different things.

Oil : Most massage oiils are plant based like almond, sometimes called light almond or sweet almond. Grape seed oil is another "light" oil that works really well for
massages. There are numerous other oils, but I'd stick to one of those for quite a while and both of you should be very happy.
As for fragrance...a good basic fragrance that most people find pleasant is Vanilla. I would suggest that you both go to a natural foods or health food store
and locate their selection of essential oils. Spend some time together finding ones that each of you enjoy. Pure essential oils, also called extracts, appear to be
very expensive and you don't get much for the $$$$ your spending. Honestly, that's because you don't need much....a few drops of essential oil fragrance to
several ounces of your base (almond or grape seed) oil.

Also keep in mind that anything that could enter you needs to be designed for that purpose. Since the oils I have mentioned above, and many others similar to
them are plant based, they can contain bacteria and other things that just shouldn't enter a woman's body (and a man's for that matter).

Lube : It's pretty simple. Silicone is the most slippery but once you place it somewhere, it's a challenge to remove. Water based lubes are the "easiest" to use but
they don't last nearly as long as silicone lubes do. Water based lubes are also very easy to clean up and will not interfere with condoms. Petroleum based
products, whether an oil or lube can cause all sorts of problems, especially with condoms and I would avoid them if I were you.

Hint: If you're really into massages and massaging each other, consider buying a massage table. They are available pretty reasonably on e*ay. It was the best thing
I ever did for the massages I give my GF. Great for sex of all kinds too!

      OP where did you go?

Almond oil is definately the best but adding in the aroma, such as lavender, peach, is exciting.

As for internally, Baby oil can not be bad for you, at my age I know, having had massages that have gone a little haywire, that's what was used.

If you are unsure which lotion or oil to use as a lubricant then check the label. If it says "external use only" then it means do not use internally.

Almond oils , Sunflower or grapeseed oils are nice (watch they don't stain your sheets though, put down a towel or something), perhaps get some of that Strawberry or Chocolate sauce used for drinks and have that handy too! The flavoured lubes are fine as long as they don't say, 'warming', 'tingling' etc like the other member mentioned. Stay away from Essential oils directly on the skin unless it's a couple drops of Lavender or Tea Tree for instance, they can be applied neat. Sensual oils for massage (but not on your private parts, use them around your back, thighs, buttocks as you massage each other) that are arousing and increase sexual desire are: Clary Sage, Vetiver and Ylang Ylang. Mix 2 or 3 drops into the carrier oil of your choice (Almond, Sunflower, Grapeseed etc).
If nothing else, Olive Oil is fine for the skin but and has natural antiseptic properties. (normally it's used if you burn your skin while in the kitchen as an emergency treatment). I'm a Certified Aromatherapist should you have any other 'oil' questions you want to explore! Have fun! Oh, have you tried putting a peppermint or cinnamon mint in your mouth first and try kissing and giving oral? This can be a neat sensation too!
