Anyone else obsessed with the "50 Shades" Trilogy and the toys??

    Hi Ladies,

So I just finished 50 shades of grey, the first book in the series, and have to say its the most erotic book I've ever read. I've been pretty comfortable with my sex life but reading this gave me a whole new sense of exploration! I really want to try some toys... and restraints described in the book, especially the Ben Wah balls but I haven't worked up the courage to walk into my local sex shop yet. I did find this site GreysPlay while I was searching for options, they have a great selection for under $10 but I dont know how I feel about buying sex toys online.

Does anyone have advice about buying toys online or bought from GreysPlay?

    Thanks!!

I buy sex toys online with no problems at all. Make sure they're in a sealed, untampered package when they arrive. I prefer to buy from big reputable sites like Love Honey. I've never had any problems. It's much more fun going into the stores though, I was nervous the first few times, too!

They tend to keep the BDSM stuff in a different area too so I felt like a bit of a perv, but there were actually loads of nice couples in there looking together. The staff are really nice, they know you can be embarrassed. Now when I go in it doesn't bother me at all, I chat to staff like its a regular shop. It helps to think to yourself "I'm just going into a high street store, nobody knows if I'm buying a hen night gift or handcuffs, if people didn't think this stuff was acceptable it wouldn't be on the high street"! I take a big handbag if I don't want to carry an obvious bag through the street with me. Enjoy!
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

Seriously, that book, men the world over must be cheering over it. You can't help but get horny when the sex is described.

I buy on line. It is fine. I went in to a sex shop once and once only. The guy there was really creepy and insisted on putting the batteries in and testing the dildo and then went on to ask me what I was intending using it for, personal or with a group of girlfriends??? What THE? I fled and would never go back.... LOL He was a weird little man with a bad comb over and a knitted vest it looked like his mum made him. When I got home DH and told DH he thought it hilarious.

Buy a few cheap ones first then if you don't like them or the service is bad you have not lost much.

I've just started the first book and am at the part where they just had coffee and she really wanted him to kiss her, but he doesn't so she feels rejected.

I haven't read this book, but I've heard a lot of comments from friends who do practice BDSM. Be careful about using the book as your guide into venturing into BDSM. From what I have been told, it does not include a lot of elements (mostly that have to do with safety) about the lifestyle. One of the most important being aftercare.

I went and got a few things online after reading the book. Nothing too hardcore just some restraints, blindfolds and stuff. I found this website had some good stuff and was well priced removed link

Yes BB, on Oxford Street, near Soho. That's a very pretty shop. When I went there last time they had all the toys out on a table for you to "try" before you buy (obviously not TRY though!) so if you're new to buying bedroom parafernalia the high street shops are a good place to sneak a peek!
