I don't think a lot of women use what is known as a "female condom", it's an invasion it can tilt and if they do, most that I have read about use also a condom on the man.

The pill seems to be the most effect method of birth control, or for yourself to use a condom.

Female condoms are not hard to use at all and don't shift around once in place. They do take a minimal amount of experimentation for best insertion. Some women also don't like the sounds and sensation from a female condom compared to other methods. The only problem I found was some men withdraw with semen still running from the penis. That can result in semen getting all over the vagina. I'm not sure this would actually be a pregnancy risk though since the sperm probably won't be able to find their way to the cervix and probably don't have enough sperm sustaining fluid that makes up the semen.

In the end I found them too expensive, messy, and not as comfortable to keep using them.
