Do you think Fleshlights are worth it?

Fleshlights are incredibly popular and loved by a lot of folks with penises — but they're not necessarily everyone's favorite thing in the world, either.

My husband's tried a couple (and frankly, I used one on him myself when I had a back injury and was "out of commission" for a hot minute) and he admitted that it was okay — but nothing special.

(He wasn't trying to preserve my feelings or anything LOL — he was a little weirded out by it, I think.)

But a lot of folks love them, too.

Have you used a Fleshlight before or regularly, and do you think they're worth the expense (or maintenance)?

I've never bought one or used one even though I am one of those folks with penises. I am not sure what they could do that a hand couldn't do. Do they need to be held on or do they keep themselves attached? Of course they have very little in common with a real woman, in my opinion. Exactly how popular are they? Do they make sounds and/or stream video to a smart phone? I suppose a scent could be nice, too.

No fleshlight experience here either. Lube+hand and a shower makes for ez cleanup. Not saying I would not try one, but the ROI seems to be much less (Cost + Maintenance)

Yeah, the expense is something that's a consideration for sure, along with the maintenance. Some of them I think are easier than others — like the Quickshots (which are smaller and open-ended on both sides and are only like $40 or so).

That was one thing my husband was iffy about — can they really be cleaned well on the inside (they can, but it takes effort). As it turns out, he's not about that life. LOL!

Still, he was glad for the experience nonetheless — and should I ever try to move a piano again (down steps, yes really... and I know it was stupid) it's an option to explore while I'm "out of commission."

I think for a lot of guys, it might be a novel way to masturbate (especially if the budget allows) but too — a hand is free, readily available unless it's holding something else, and a lot easier to clean up afterward.

jns I'm not super familiar with the entire line (although I'm becoming so, with research into them).

They are hand-held, but Fleshlight carries products that can make them hands-free: like the Universal or Quickshot Launch (which does the stroking for you) and there are also mounts for holding them on either a shower wall, or wall, and even specially-designed pillows for holding them (that you can mount during use). I don't know if they have apps, but I think there is VR porn that you can watch while using one. (Maybe with a launch? Not sure.)

My husband has used Fleshlights for several years (among many other types of toys) with my absolute encouragement. My libido tanked a few years ago (due to life stressors, out-of-whack hormones, and mental health) and I haven't fully recovered it yet. I love that he has a fun (for him) way of masturbating that allows for new/interesting sensations.

I find it great that you encourage your husband when you know that your libido has tanked.
