Ooh first dates... I always loved them and absolutely HATED them at the same time! I remember going on my first official date with my guy... I was super anxious, and we'd already been seeing each other for a couple of weeks, haha.
Just put on your favorite outfit, make your hair and makeup look awesome and you will FEEL awesome. Always exude your confidence, everyone loves that.
Good luck tonight!

Yesterday I watched the Victoria Secret show and what struck me most was how incredibly skinny all the models were. Absolutely no curves, all skin and bones. Maybe that works when someone is petite but not when you're as tall as those models. It looked like a parade of walking sticks and I didn't find it very sexy.
After seeing the pictures thread in the Lounge I don't think it's an exaggeration to say I'd much rather see a fashion show with the women of WH, kygirl included. But I guess it's another case of being attractive and not knowing it.

You are so much more than your looks. You are a complete package, intelligence, personality, humor, interests and expertise. Looks are just an enticement and he wouldn't have asked you out if he didn't have some attraction already. At one time I dated a man who could have easily been one the 10 best looking in the US and he had it all, amazingly good looking, great body, intelligence, education, money. Unfortunately he also had extreme arrogance, was quite self absorbed, had an anoying habit of using a pistol indoors to make designs on the wall, and was self admittedly incapable of loving anyone. Good looks aren't everything by any means, nor is money, intelligence or education. Part of waht dating should be about is finding out what their heart really is.Comment

I know. I have talked about this with a couple people and I do realize that regardless of how I think I look that he was by no means forced to ask me out, and he wouldn't have if he didn't think I was at least cute. You are so much more than your looks. I also realize that looks aren't everything and will fade regardless eventually. The first date just freaks me out like most people, and it's partially the whole starting over and getting to know someone all over again, opening up to someone new, etc. It just all compounds.
I just need to breathe
I've already committed now so in 7 1/2 hours, I'll find out one way or another. I'm just going to take Glitter's advice and doll myself up, dress in something that makes me feel confident, and see what happens.
Hopefully I can remind myself of that in about 7 hours when I realize it's about to happen

Well my date isn't until about 7:30 (Eastern Time) so I have about 2 1/2 more hours to go... Gotta rush out of work at 5:00, run to the gym, and then go home and pretty myself up!
Details will follow tomorrow...good or bad, it'll be a story
