anyone know of any good date ideas?

Can anyone think of good summer date ideas? I just started seeing someone and with the economy in such poor state. It is difficult of us to come up with money. My guy is unemployed right now and I am going to school so money is kinda tight. I think i might make us sack lunches and suprize him and take him fishing tomorrow. We both love fishing. He is a very special guy. He is just amazing. I just met him a couple weekends ago. It's been awesome ever since. Anyone think of any ideas please feel free to speak up.

Aw fishing is great! Picnic might be nice, a nice trek somewhere if you have nice scenery around, lunch at a restaurant/cafe where you can sit outside and watch people walking by...

Some thoughts: Be a tourist in the city nearest you - go to all the places that as a local you would never visit. Eat at a new type of ethnic restaurant. Doesn't need to be fancy, just different. If there is a nice park nearby, go for a walk. Rent a rowboat or paddle-boat or canoe.

There are lots of things you can do depending on where you are... Lots of cities have free outdoor concerts in the summer or lots of parks where you can have a picnic, go hiking, take a stroll, or ride bikes together. Become familiar with local restaurants and when they have special prices on menu items on particular days. You can also do a google search to find lots of good summer ideas...

        Enjoy!!

Definately local parks and outdoor things are best (and least expensive) things when money is tight.

What's even better is that the pretentousness is taken out. This is the best time to really get to know someone. Sitting on a lake shore or walking the part trail is when people really are relaxed and are more honest. I think you'll find these are the best dates.

Fishing, hiking, picnic are all wonderful. If someone asked me on a picnic/fishing date I'd be head over heals. haha

Museums often have free days. There should be a listing of local trails, you could walk or bike. Try preparing a meal together.

Sunset Hiking, A night time stroll through your downtown area (if its safe) maybe some icecream, picnics in the park, checking out some live local band (usually free or very cheap door cost), rent a video, go take a 1 day free trial at a fancy gym together, definitely experience new foods together at some hole in the wall restaurant (good food, good prices), go swimming at a local pool... or better yet sneak into a pool at a fancy apt complex :P, go watch a local sporting event (high school/ college game), hit a matinee or dollar movie theatre, go play at a nickel arcade video game fun place, have a night in and trade backrubs, take turns making each other a fancy dinner, make a trip to your local library (share books you love, each of you check out each others suggestion), go for a run together switching ipods (share your music tastes), go window shopping at the mall (let him pick out outfits he'd love to see you in and try them on for him).

Its all about the company your in more than the place you're at or what you are doing... with the right person a trip to walmart can be memorable.

HD has an excellent point here. You don't have to be doing anything spectacular or expensive if it's the right person.
