Will you be upset if he starts dating someone else and you are pushed to the side?

No, I am fully aware that could happen. We've discussed it. As long as I don't have any emotional feelings towards him, it's ok. If either of us start wanting more than this, we agreed to talk about it. It's all good.

Yes WC, I'll be a good girl and be safe.

Do some reading on the effect of FWB on females from internet search. Studies show that there is a differential effect on men and women. The male enters the relationship for sex with someone he is fairly certain he does not want a LTC with, he is either not ready or she is not the right one. They sometimes fall in love but it is not common. Women enter the relationship for sex but for a sizable proportion of woman harbor the fantasy of finding Mr. right. Apparently, woman don't say that overtly but a larger proportion of women end up getting emotionally involved than men. Although many women just want a dk and nothing connected with it but on balance, the arrangement favors the male, he gets his sexual needs met and no emotional involvement. Women who begin to get emotional, gets nothing but longing and desperation. Why chance that. I have a better plan for you to consider.

I don't know but you sound too vulnerable now. You can say you are not ready for a relationship but that does not prevent you from getting emotionally involved with this magnanimous friend. You are too in need of emotional support right now. Lets see now - you have emotional needs + sexual needs = relationship meed!! I got it, you were wrong you are ready for a relationship you just don't know it. Don't blunder into one by doing this FWB things it will only take you further away from what you really need, a relationship.

My few penneth worth of advice: 1) tell this guy to lose himself, 2) get a sex toy and some lube, 3) get yourself in good physical shape, new make-up hair etc. and 4) get out and meet people 5) date and interview men for that position in your life and when you find the right one jump on his azzzz with 5 yrs worth of lust. Don't waste time with that loser looking for a free lunch. Tell him you'er not five and dime fare you'er 5 star stuff. Now, get your budinsky out there and stop sitting around like a girl. Easy for me to say :} but think about what I said and be gentle and protective of yourself.

GAH!! Ok, seriously, enough... I have my mind made up. I am NOT ready for a relationship, I don't want one right now, I just want to get laid. That's it. Sex with myself and a vibrator is not the same as with another person. I think we all know that. This guy does genuinely care about me, he's concerned about me getting hurt from this situation and we've discussed it extensively. Yeah, he does want sex and you could argue that he's "using" me for that, but consider that you could say the same thing about me... I also want sex without commitment. As I said, this arrangement will take a lot of trust between us. I'm ok with this, I have thought about it, and decided that I just want to have some fun without being tied down. This is not entirely a FWB situation, we are dating... we go out and do things together and enjoy each others company, which sort of blurs the line a bit. Yes, it's very possible that I could get emotionally attached to him, same could happen with him. The second I feel that happening, we talk about it. If one of us doesn't want more, we say our goodbyes and just be friends before someone gets hurt. I'm a big girl, I can handle this. If I do get hurt, I'll deal with it... I have been through much worse. Right now, this is what I want and need, case closed. Thank you for your concern everyone, but I'll be fine. Move aside ladies... I am getting LAID!!
