Many men just watch porn to get off. It's that simple, they are not wishing/yearning for someone else. They are just using it as stimulation to bust a nut. I wish my wife would have sex with me every night, but unfortunately that's not the case. So sometimes after she goes to bed, I will watch some skinamax (or pop in a movie )and take care of buisness. It's as simple as that. -
Ah but...have you ever turned her down for sex and then masterbated? Has she expressed that you watching porn upsets her? This is what many women deal with. Using it occasionally when she isn't available is one thing, there are plenty of behaviors that are quite something else. Many men just watch porn to get off. Most women don't have a problem with men getting off alone to porn or without it. Big deal. Women do the same. It's when men go to them and promise them an actual sex life, only to ignore them and still get off to porn instead of being men and have sex with their women. That's what the problem is in most cases. The men who claim to be men when they're not.Comment

Never. I love my wife and after 10 years of marriage I could honestly say that I find my wife hotter and sexier now than we first met.Ah but...have you ever turned her down for sex and then masterbated? As far as me masturbating, I'm not sure she even knows I do it. I just assumed that all women figured men do it all the time. It's kind of a don't ask don't tell policy.Comment

Life is full of things that "everybody knows" that just aren't so. Men don't want sex all the time. Some men almost never want it. Other men vary, just as women do.
LOL I remember a converstation with a girl freind some years ago about the first time we realised that men didn't have a constant errection. When you are a teen, if you see them naked, they are hard. It can be quite a revelation. We get ideas from all sorts of places, don't we?Comment

Yeah, I wish more people understood this. Not all men have the same proclivities. It's the same with porn, some guys just ain't into it, some guys can take it or leave it and some guys like it a bit too much. Personally, I have my reasons for not liking porn, but I guess people use porn for a myriad of reasons; bored, horny, aren't attracted to spouse, haven't got a spouse, etc.Life is full of things that "everybody knows" that just aren't so. I guess everyone's got their own reasons. I'm glad I never used porn though because from what I've heard it has detrimental effects on people's minds.Comment

probably the best answer so far.In response to the opening question, men watch porn b/c we enjoy it. We enjoy lots of visually stimulating material. Watching sports, movies, operas, theatrical plays to name a few. But when it comes to watching sexual acts....there is no comparison. Watching people who are attractive engage in erotic pleasure is extremely stimulating to men both physically and mentally. In a healthy adult male (in my opinion), watching sexual acts and actually participating sexual acts don't compete nor compare with each other. Its like comparing apples and oranges...in a healthy male, they don't compare.
Men enjoy looking at beautiful women. I say that in a plural sense. We love our SO and we love to see her but we also appreciate all women we are attracted to. Every man I have known closely (can't speak for all) enjoy watching attractive people engage in sexual acts. This is very hard for most women to deal with. For some reason they seem to internally attach this to how we feel about them.
If your man is presumably healthy and attracted to you but turns you down but has enough mojo to watch/masterbate to porn....he might not be healthy sexually or mentally!
men also look at porn cuz they get bored. personally, if i had a SO, i'd prolly not watch porn at all, and if i did it would be far less frequently (i'll spend at least a few hours a week watching porn, unless i'm home for the holidays in which case i watch considerably less).
i know i cycle through which porn stars or even individual videos that i'm really "into". those phases last a few weeks, max a couple of months. once that is over, you get bored, and you look for the next porn star/scene that really turns you on. thats why guys browse porn. they're either really into one of the girls or a scene or looking for one.
in a healthy dude, i couldn't imagine a guy turning down actual sex to watch virtual e-sex.Comment
