If he would do that to you, he will do it to your friend. Find a bf that is really into you. Good luck.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, Virginia -
Consider yourself lucky that you have a best friend that is loyal to you and didn't allow a boy to get in the middle of your friendship...As difficult as it seems stay strong and don't allow yourself to be played by this guy. You deserve better than that. I know it hurts... but with time that will gradually go away. Try to keep yourself busy with friends, family, school, work, hobbies etc.... so that you don't continue to dwell on your broken heart. If this guy tries to contact you again... IGNORE him.
IGNORING him will accomplish 2 things:
1. Take away his ability to sweet talk (lie to you), manipulate and continue to hurt you.
2. Drive him crazy cuz most guys want what they can't have and if you ignore him it will make it very clear that he can't have you!
You deserve more from a guy that what he can and will offer you so stay strong and find someone that will treat you the way that you deserve to be treated.Comment

I know it hurts right now and I commiserate.
I also know this will not really help at this tough time but, it is better that you find this out now and not later after rings have been exchanges and such.
Just be comforted knowing that you are not getting stuck with someone who could do such a thing. You definitely deserve better.
...and as others have stated; if he did this to you he will do it to them. It's not you at all. He is just the type of person who is a user.
Don't be surprised if he decides after a period to try and come back - the grass is not always greener - and be prepared.
REMEMBER what he has done to you and don't fall for it - you deserve someone who will treat you much better than this.Comment
