I think I would just keep trying to have a conversation and see where it goes, and not expect success overnight. I know it seems cheesy advice but, its simple and you should be able to tell soon enough if she is interested. I do understand that it can be difficult to keep a conversation going especially in the early stages, unless one of you is a chatterbox. Good luck and let us know how it pans out.
