Guys that must have a lot of guys around them all the time, usually keep and maintain the mentality of using women for sex, that women are objects etc... guys that get in relationships and distance themselves from their buddies... that make their chic their 'best friend' soon learn to value a woman for all the same things he values men for and gains a new respect that guys that just hang around going ohhhhh guess who i hit last night, or whos womb i was shiftin'... etc... having those lametards in their head doesn't provoke progressive thinking about women.

While I thinking keeping/maintaining friendships while in a relationship is important to the overall health of a relationship... guys that still hang tight and thick with 'buddies' are usually HORRRIBLE relationship material. And the same can be said for women that hang on every word of their gf's and come home and take it out on their guy that susies husband bought her a new ring and why hasnt he and so on and so or... or sarah told her that he should be taking her on more trips and that he must be cheating if he isn't.. whatever dumb stuff other ppl fill their heads with.

The tables can be turned where women feel this way too. I was one of those young women where I wanted sex and could easily detach emotional feelings. What's funny is that young guys made fun of me for it or were appalled. It's okay for them as males to be obsessed with sex, but not for women.
I've changed over the years and am no longer that person. Sometimes women are scared of intimacy too and would rather go with the sex route."Dating is like slow dancing. Let the man lead, or you will fall all over your feet"Comment

My husband gave me a similar "warning" when we first started going out. He basically told me that when a guy does anything nice for a woman, he's just trying to get into her pants. I don't think it's fair to lump all guys into a catagory like that. I've had a lot of guy friends, and it gets easy to spot the ones that are trying to manipulate and take advantage, and the ones who actually care about you as a person. Taking the time to get to know the guy should be just as important as how well they know you. If they only see a woman as a piece of meat, it doesn't take long for them to give themselves away in how they act and talk, especially if you have the chance to see them interact with their friends.Comment
