I also say things via text, "how did I get so lucky? Perfect body and perfect....":

It's the subtle things sweet.. And in bed, let him take the lead control. But then in conversation, let him know of "something" if not a couple that you haven't let some guy do but you let him do, maybe position, IDK and that he makes you feel like a woman.

It's about him feeling that he is special....
This is so true for myself I can't even believe it came from someone else!

How old are each of you? It's hard to imagine his reaction to you wanting to be with him so badly, most guys would love it.

In a way, I am like your boyfriend. I hate talking about feelings (that is why I like writing on forums instead ). When somebody says "we need to talk," that is a sure way to make me shut up. I'll even give answers my partner wants to hear just to end the conversation. You need to find a way that you boyfriend is comfortable talking in. For me, what works is first being in a good, relaxing position with my partner. Not while we are fighting or one of us is upset. Then slowly going into the topic. First start talking about other things. Get closer to the subject. Ask scenerio questions. Make it a natural dialogue instead of a "tell me what's bugging you!"

Dang, I have to give you my age? 49..

Not a day goes by that he doesn't smile when he walks out of the bedroom in the morning, to give me a kiss good morning (up earlier, diabetic dog) I think you have to take relationships seriously, he makes me smile, laugh, he does little things, we are pretty equal in alot of ways... I think age and consequently mistakes learnt play a big part in how important it is to work a relationship, mind you I honestly, honestly, can't help myself, I do have to peek when he's having a shower at his nakedness

I love this quote because it's so easy to let ourselves be blinded to the signs we see from the people we care about.

There are some great threads on these boards that deal with people to whom sex is important that have mates with much lower libidos. Look around. It's a miserable thing to live with, especially when the mate is inconsiderate. In many cases the problems started before marriage, but we overlooked the signs.

I'm with my wife for life, but if I was ever on the dating scene again and a lady told me this, she could be funny, smart, best friends with my mama, built like Beyonce, and think I was the next best thing to Jesus and I would drop her in a heartbeat. If I was going to be dealing with all of the junk that goes along with marriage, I'd like to at least be getting laid a lot. Otherwise, I'd prefer to be single and celibate. At least my horniness would be accompanied with freedom.

You were wise in asking what you did, in my opinion. He gave you an answer with his words and actions. Now it's just a matter of following through with that wisdom.

No! Ok, maybe a little. Ok, we're like women.

I actually read the other day that for men, validation from our women is more important that it is for the woman to be validated. The theory was because women tend to get it more from the other people in their lives. A wife tends to be a man's sole source. Women who validate more tend to be in longer marriages.

I think that's true, I mean friends will say, "way you look hot" , parents "you look nice dear" haha, guys stare and smile.

I think too many women believe that a man is "tough, doesn't need it". True he may hide his emotions more but he certainly and definately wants to know he's hot, good in bed and loved...

Imagine , he does alot of "hard work" And, never knows if it's good enough, lets face it woman can fake.

And, imagine, just the right top with jeans and you comment, verses you never comment, will if you never comment he's going to easily become a dag..

Mmm i think it may be called reverse physcology as well

My advice would be to really look deep into the mirror. Are you unconsciously behaving in a way that is harming the both of you? Often when love is held onto with too much attachment, it gets mistaken with need. Once this happens, it becomes very painful for both involved. You very well may be holding onto your love with the best of intentions. But if you look closely, you may find that it is actually a tight, painful energetic grasping that is going on. The sollution is very simple tho. You just have to become aware of what is going on and you will naturally let go, allowing the flower to bloom once again.

Once you let go fully, one of two things will happen. Your relationship shall become very pleasurable once again like it used to be, or you may realize that he isn't the one for you anymore. Times were good while they lasted, but it may be time to move on. Not just for you, but for both of you. There is only one way to find out. LET GO.

              Cheers
              Good luck!

I am on the SAME page as you, girl. Whenever I have a problem in the relationship, I try to bring it up in a mature manner, but he only replies with "I'm not talking about this" "I don't want to fight about this, so we aren't going to talk about it" and (in a sarcastic tone) "I'm so glad we always fight about everything." But the thing is, we don't. If we fight, it's only maybe once every few weeks. He says he is happy - I'm happy, but the communication problem is a huge issue. We don't see eye to eye on anything either and it's the most frustrating thing in the world. You just want to state what you have to say but they just walk out or don't want to talk about it and it only makes you more upset . . .!

And the sex thing . . . I just posted on the forum about this, too. (https://www.womens-health.com/boards...sex-drive.html) I have a high sex drive and he hardly ever wants to have sex. He just says he isn't a sexual person. I always think it's me, but he tells me I'm beautiful and there isn't anything wrong, he just isn't like me. But don't you think that plays a huge part in making a relationship work?

I'm sorry I don't have any advice for you, I came on this forum for the same reason, and I'm just glad I'm not alone. I'm going to read the advice that was given to you though
