    Good opening lines?

I don't have a whole lot of experience with dating. I am not a shy person, except when it comes to "making a move" on a girl. So I was just wondering what are some good conversation starters or pickup lines? Should a person even just start talking to a woman at the train station for example?

I have been told the "can I buy you a drink?" line works well, but I don't drink so that wouldn't work. And I don't really go to clubs so thats kind of not relevant.

And should I mention that I have very little experience with sex (outside of porn of course)?

Depends on the occasion and where you are. You don't have to be drinking to buy a lady a drink. But at the train station, I wouldn't open with that.

At a train station, just comment on the weather, or a delay, or whatever is going on there at the time. Just saying hi, how are you is enough.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of dudes trying to "pick me up" while I'm doing my business at the store or in line at the bmv or where ever I need to be. But an organic, naturally occurring, friendly meeting is not an unattractive thought. Just don't force it. Don't run into her cart at the grocery or bump her arm in a line and pretend it was accidental.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

So would it be OK if after a 5 minute organic/natural conversation to ask a total stranger (up till 5 mins ago) for her number or ask her out on a date?

I don't think that's out of line IF you're getting willing return of discussion from her. You might say, I've gotta go, but I think you're interesting and would enjoy continuing our chat. Hand her your business card, or ask to meet for coffee later this same day, or ask for her number. Don't be surprised if a woman declines to share her number. I don't give my number out very much.

If you meet any resistance at all, just end the interaction. If she isn't engaging in the discussion, or adding to it, she's probably not interested, and just being nice.

I see. I have always had trouble figuring out if a girl is just being nice or if she is genuinely interested. It always ends up being the former, lol.

Well, it can be confusing. That's why I say, choose wisely your times to approach. I can't imagine that I'm different from most women in not appreciating being hit on every place I need to be.

you don't need a specific pick up line

spoke to a guy at grocery store other day, just made a comment and he stopped to talk with me

offer people and some will talk if they have time
(i.e. if they can't find something in store, ask what they are looking for, rush ahead to open a door for someone, offer to carry a person's groceries)

be observant, there are things you can do/say and people will naturally talk to you
                little comments get people talking

Thanks for that bit of advise. Will try it out!

LOL, yes I have a little bit of experience. But not much compared to the average 34 yo guy. And I've watched a good amount of porn like any other guy.
