My dating adventures are well documented here, and I'm sure others are amused with me on that, so... you're in good company

Saw her again yesterday (3rd time in a week I think) after not seeing her for about 2-3 weeks. But yesterday I was waiting in line and then a different chasier opened up and I was distracted cuz the cashier I like saw me in line and smiled and said hello. But I don't think she was overly excited to see me. But then I don't anyone should be super excited to see a non-celebrity in their line, lol.

Anyways didn't get to talk to her. I'm debating if I should ask her out...what if she says "no"? Does that mean I can't shop there anymore? Will it be awkward? And if she says no, do I ask her out again some other time (weeks later of course)? Or is that rude?

I think it's better to wait just a bit longer, especially If you would feel like you have to shop elsewhere if she isn't interested. I wouldn't feel that's necessary, but if you'd be uncomfortable, then I'd wait a few more days/weeks.

Seems like you have recognition and rapport with her tho, if you are ready to take the step, there's nothing wrong in that.

Have you developed enough conversation that you can follow-up on any previously shared info?
Things like, "oh how's your dog, I remember you mentioning she was sick"
Or "how was that volleyball tournament you played in?"

Yeah, we've had some interesting chats. It turns out that I had a lot of college friends from her ethnicity (the city I live in has the largest community of her people) and although I'm from a totally different ethnic group several countries away, we're from the same religious group (Muslim) although she said she's not very practicing. It turns out that she was born in refugee camp or something like that. So we've chatted a bit. I mentioned my friend's name and she was like "I'm sure I know him or have seen him at a wedding or a funeral or something".

I don't think I'd shop elsewhere. If she turned me down, I'd probably just avoid her checkout line for a week, lol.

Well, if you're ready, then go ahead and ask her out for coffee or a cocktail after her shift.
