    Satin bedsheets; considered weird?

I have black satin bedsheets, and when people have come into my room they always seem to mention it, and allude to me having some sort of dimented pornographic lifestyle (which isn't entirely true - in fact, not true enough!).

Do you think it's 'weird' to have satin bedsheets? Think it might scare anyone off?

Mmmm, they're so smooth and lovely...

Um actually - I don't think that's weird at all. It's your preference - your room - your bed. If someone doesn't like it, oh well. In fact - you should let me know where to get a set

      Anon, black?

It's not the Satin, rather the colour as to why you are receiving comments, Red would do the same trick. haha.

      A Man's bedroom tells a woman alot.

I remember bringing up a thread honks ago " should I buy satin sheets? "

I recall my ex, first time i ventured to his house 3 weeks later, his bedroom had a friggen 4 poster bed, with lace? WT? And mirrored wardrobes, ahhh.

      I thought gay?

He explained it was his ex-wife's purchase and he had never changed it but I have never ever forgotten what I thought when I walked in that room.

      Go buy some white ones.

Sex on that to start with will make her embarrased after.

      Um..... walking away now.

I'm so tempted to buy some "house red" satin sheets. I just love the idea. Saw some at the store with my bf last night and was oohing and ahhing and he said "you know we'd just ruin them", lol. So I think we'll stick to the cotton.
Well some people say that you shouldn't tempt fate, and for them I can not disagree. But I never learned nothing from playing it safe; I say fate should not tempt me. I take my chances.

We used to have a bedroom that was more like a shrine to hummm..... how to describe this? It was very NON sexual... DH said "All the pictures of our parents, kids, grandparents etc must GO! I'm not able to have sex with you with all them looking down on the bed.

Then we started to think more about our bedroom. What is the purpose? DH said "The bed is NOT a place to sleep, eat crackers or watch TV" The bed is a comfortable place to relax after we have sex.

          ok!

We bought silk sheets. Satin sheets are NOT close... Silk costs a lot more and have to be hand washed and are worth every single penny... Black? red? YES!

for most people thier bedrooms are thier only real place to go and just be. Its the one place where they retreat to and reflect. For us, our bedroom is completely off limits to the house tour and the children. Its our space. The one place that is ours alone. It's the place where you retreat and reflect. Relax and let go. Why shouldn't it be inviting and comforting to your taste and style. I think black satin sheets are awesome. Red too.

Ah man... you lot know I was saying what " a woman would think" who never met Anon sexually and walked into his bedroom... After all that's what he said.

I agree, though that it's your temple and yours and i relate the bed to being sexy as well as a place to sleep... The favourite room in my house is my bedroom... It has to feel right.

I had a King Size waterbed years ago, with lights and music, (showing my age) should have seen the look on my Father's face when he saw that...

CW if your bedroom makes your father blush your doing it right! Just remember "satin" is not the same as "silk"

Everyone must sleep ONCE with silk sheets so you know what your missing...

                Trust me!

Didn't you say Pheobe that they are way expensive?

mmm... Well he will have to be a real "special" kind of male, for me to spend that money or wait a minute, spend it for myself what am I thinking?

I will look into it, just like everyone else, what feels good is a must to experience.

I freaking HATE THEMMM. Me and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel for our anniversary...It was beautiful, literally built on a cliff overlooking the ocean (which means expensive as fck, ugh haha) and they had silk sheets. I HATE SILK SHEETS! I was slipping and sliding and moving and wiggling all night. They drove me nuts. I'm a cotton girl, all the way. I stay put in cotton..lmao.
